The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) wants to make a clean break from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and ensure that he can’t follow her after she leaves.
As a result, Chelsea intends to do whatever it takes to make Adam pay and get him out of her life. Of course, doing whatever it takes means Chelsea will have to take some risks.
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) expresses concern about Chelsea playing with fire in the March 10 episode and seeks reassurance that no one else will be affected.
Chelsea promises this is only about Adam, but we’re not so sure we believe her! After all, there must be a reason why Y&R writers wanted Chloe to bring her up fears about others getting hurt.
That brings us to Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) mysterious health crisis, which will suddenly affect him during the week of March 15-19. Rey will keel over and have to be hospitalized after severe flu-like symptoms.
Since Rey will be delirious with a fever, this feels out of the blue and like more than just a case of Rey getting sick.
Could Rey be a poisoning victim – perhaps as part of Chelsea’s plan to frame Adam? Chelsea needs a way to make sure Adam won’t follow her after she leaves Genoa City behind, so it seems like prison is where she might want him to land.
That’d probably be the only way to know for certain Adam wouldn’t come after her.
Naturally, Chelsea wouldn’t give Rey a dose of something that could kill him, but she might allow him to be pretty ill for the sake of her plot. It’s also possible Rey will ingest something meant for Sharon if that’s the angle Chelsea has in mind.
The point is it’s strange for Rey to suddenly collapse with a mysterious illness while Chelsea’s going after revenge on Adam. If Rey’s the intended target, Chelsea might want to get Adam locked up for poisoning Rey.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will sink to some low places, so it’s wise not to underestimate her.
Perhaps Chelsea will want it to seem like Adam’s drugging Rey like he drugged his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and trying to push the competition out of the picture to get Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) for himself.
Chelsea may be behind the missing Adam-related items at the cottage based on the mystery bag she gives Chloe in the March 10 episode as well.
Since Chelsea’s capable of pulling things off beyond the penthouse walls, we have to consider the possibility that Rey’s illness will be tied to Chelsea’s vengeful attempt to set Adam up.
