The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) could deliver some photo scandal evidence following his spy’s trip to Minnesota. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) could easily get caught on camera since Victor sent someone to follow them.
After all, what good is having a spy tail Rey and Chelsea if there’s nothing scandalous to report? It wouldn’t be much of a story if Victor’s minion got back in touch and simply said everything was fine.
Of course, that could be the boring route Y&R takes anyway, but they should really use this to revive Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) fierce side.
Victor can appreciate the way Adam’s turned his life around and respects that he wants to do right by his son. However, Adam has become too forgiving and trusting for Victor’s taste.
Victor recently confronted Adam over losing his killer instinct and pointed out all the things his son had let slide lately.
Adam forgave Billy for the exposé drama and then forgave Chelsea for framing him for Rey’s poisoning.
Although Adam claims he still intends to make a move for Locke Communications Group, it clearly isn’t a priority.
Adam doesn’t really care that Victoria got the upper hand and doesn’t seem like he’d be bothered if she kept it either.
Bottom line, Victor can tell his boy’s going soft and doesn’t like it!
Victor doesn’t want Adam making disloyal moves against his father or the rest of the family, but he needs to know Adam’s still got some Newman fire in him.
That’s why a potential photo scandal would be so beneficial.
Let’s say Victor’s spy snaps a shot of Chelsea and Rey looking too close for comfort – perhaps even kissing. That’s something Victor could show off and get Adam riled up with.
Adam might feel like it was all part of Chelsea’s revenge on Sharon and get outraged on Sharon’s behalf.
It’d stir up some anger over Rey’s actions as well and make Adam believe he was truly the better man for Sharon instead.
A new photo scandal would also be fitting since Adam and Sharon got caught on camera themselves.
Sharon and Adam’s leaked kiss pic stirred up trouble, so could Chelsea and Rey’s photo leak cause issues next?
Victor has been known to present photo proof after ordering missions like this, so it’s certainly an option worth considering.
