The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) loyalty may be put to the test. Y&R fans know Chloe was horrified when she realized Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) had gone to such extremes.
When Chloe signed up to help get Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) out of Chelsea’s life, she had no idea that meant poisoning an innocent detective.
Nevertheless, Chelsea was adamant that she had to make sure the crime was a serious one – and that meant poisoning Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to fit Chelsea’s agenda.
Chloe had repeatedly sought assurance that no one else would be harmed, but Chelsea deceived her until it was too late for Chloe to know what was happening.
Chloe faced another horrifying revelation when Chelsea revealed that Chloe herself had picked up the thallium delivery. Chloe thought she was just getting a box of medical supplies for Chelsea, but she was picking up the attempted murder weapon for Chelsea’s frame job instead!
It’s not fair that Chloe has been dragged into this nightmare when there’s no way she would’ve agreed to it.
Chloe has promised Chelsea that she won’t betray her and that she’ll go down with her if it comes to that. However, we have to wonder if Chloe will really keep that promise! Chloe is desperate to avoid getting locked up again since she’s got a family to think about.
If push comes to shove, do we really believe Chloe will choose loyalty to Chelsea over the chance to remain a free woman with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and her children? Would Chloe go to prison for Chelsea if it meant being separated from Kevin, Bella Fisher (Martie Blair) and Miles Fisher?
It’s just tough to believe any mom in Chloe’s position would willingly go down for Chelsea when she’s got a little girl and a baby at home. Chloe’s kids have to be the priority here. Why should Chloe pay such a steep price when she had no idea what she was getting herself into?
Chloe just thought they were talking about some planted trinkets and fake texts. She had no clue Chelsea would go as far as poisoning Rey as part of this Adam setup. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chloe may have to reevaluate the whole situation once she lands in hot water.
After Chelsea’s plot is inevitably exposed, Chloe’s probably going to be implicated in it. At that point, Chloe may have to decide if she’s going to keep her word and go down with Chelsea or sell her bestie out.
Chloe might be offered an immunity deal and choose to sing like a canary. We wouldn’t blame Chloe a bit! Chloe needs to save herself instead of going down with Chelsea’s sinking ship.
Will Chloe ultimately be forced to turn on Chelsea? Will Chloe betray her closest friend to stay with her family and avoid a prison sentence? We’ll bring you updates as other Y&R news rolls in.
