The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will face a heartbreaking goodbye to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor, so it’ll leave this bio dad feeling lost after Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) takes over.
The week of November 29-December 3 will bring Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) tearful reunion with Chance, who’ll latch onto his son right away – at least as much as he can from a picture on Abby’s phone.
Chance will chuckle over Dominic’s lengthy name and gush over how perfect he is. He’ll proudly declare that’s his boy, so Chance will definitely be eager to embrace fatherhood.
Although Chance will be reluctant to return home due to the danger and his need to complete his mission, he’ll finally head back to Genoa City anyway. Chance will have a hard time resuming civilian life, especially since he’ll have to be the center of attention at a welcome home party.
However, Chance’s reaction to Dominic’s pic will say a lot about his desire to be a dad. Dominic might even become the only thing that brings Chance comfort as he faces the tough road ahead.
Regardless, Chance has to embark on this parenthood journey with Abby, so that means Devon will have to say a difficult goodbye to Dominic. The week of December 6-10 will allow Chance and Devon to get everything out in the open.
Devon will be able to unload his frustrations with Chance while still expressing happiness that he survived. Chance can also thank Devon for his role in making his dream of being a father come true. It’s something Devon was happy to do, but that won’t make it much easier to hand over Dominic after all this bonding time at the penthouse.
Devon will feel like he’s got a good grip on his emotions, but he’ll soon find that’s not quite the case. Y&R spoilers say Devon will share his true feelings to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) since she’d never judge him for what’s in his heart.
Devon may confess that part of him was hoping to step up and fill that daddy role with Chance out of the picture. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) even implied that he wanted Devon to slide in that spot, but Devon will revert to godfather status upon Chance’s return and will have to accept that.
There should be some difficult moments as Chance and Abby stroll away with the baby, so stay tuned for that and Devon’s admission to Amanda in the aftermath. As other Y&R news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
