The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, December 3, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will meet Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) plots revenge. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also cut off Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), so here’s what Y&R viewers can look forward to.
At Newman Media, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will eavesdrop while Adam’s on a video call with Chelsea, who’ll want to discuss Christmas gifts for Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). However, Adam will spot an alert on his phone and will have to disconnect from Chelsea in a hurry.
Sally will enter and assume the news isn’t good, so Adam will talk to her about Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) putting ChancComm up for sale to the highest bidder. Although Sally will offer help if Adam needs it, he’ll politely turn her down and let her just keep focusing on the fashion platform.
In Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) office, she’ll discuss Jill’s move with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Since Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) name wasn’t mentioned in regards to ChancComm’s future, Victoria will wonder if Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) blames Lily and Billy equally for the debacle.
At home, Lily will confirm to Billy that she’s decided to accept Jill’s CEO of Chancellor Industries offer. Billy will once again turn down the COO position since it’s out of the realm of his expertise – and Lily doesn’t really need him anyway.
Billy will confess that he wants revenge on the Newmans, but not at the expense of losing Lily or before her future is secure. He’ll promise not to do anything until Lily’s announced as CEO and will want to be honest about what he’s planning, though he won’t think she’s going to like it.
After Billy fills Lily in on a complex and risky plan offscreen, Lily will warn this could blow up in his face. She’ll wonder what Billy will really accomplish with this plot besides revenge. Billy will argue that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) is “guilty as hell” and will want to stick it to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) where it hurts most.
If Billy pulls this off, it’ll mean turning the tables on Newman Media. Billy will find that to be a satisfying conclusion to this mess and will like the idea of un-tarnishing his reputation. Lily will remain concerned, but Billy will hope she can trust him and be in his corner when the time comes.
At the penthouse, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will seem down as he realizes he needs to pack up Dominic’s things and get him ready to go home. Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will know this has to be hard for Devon since he’s formed a strong bond with the baby, but Devon will put on a brave face and insist he couldn’t be happier that Dominic’s whole family will be together.
When Dominic fusses a bit, Devon will pick him up and comfort him. Meanwhile, Chance will enter the Chancellor mansion with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor and talk about feeling like a stranger there after all this time. Abby will assure Chance that he’s back where he belongs.
Soon after, Jill will walk in and look stunned at the sight of Chance. She’ll get a recap of how Chance survived and why he couldn’t tell anyone until now. Jill will be grateful to Abby for bringing Chance home and will playfully swat him for the scare he gave all of them. Chance will give Jill a big hug before dashing off with Abby to meet his son for the first time.
At Society, Jill will meet with Lily and Billy at a table. She’ll be excited over Lily formally accepting the CEO position and will be way ahead of her on announcing it. Jill will urge Billy and Lily to check they’re emails, so they’ll see that Jill already managed to spread the word about her retirement and Lily’s takeover.
Jill will also admit Chance is alive, though she’ll warn Lily and Billy to keep things hush-hush for security reasons. Billy will hope Jill knows she can trust him on that despite his recent mistakes. Jill will assure Billy that she’s concentrating on the future and this new beginning.
When Jill expresses her desire for something good to come out of everything that happened, Billy will insist he feels the same way. Once Jill leaves, Billy will tell Lily that he’s not ready to make his vengeful move just yet. He’ll want to make sure he’s got it all worked out to the last detail first.
On her way out, Lily will pause to look back at Billy with concern. Afterward, Billy will be drinking at the bar when Sally arrives. Sally will admit she heard the news about ChancComm and will guess that had to hurt. Billy will acknowledge that he’s had better days, so Sally will suggest he looks like he could use some company.
Back with Victoria, she’ll see Jill’s announcement and think that clarifies things when it comes to Lily. Although Victoria will feel certain Billy’s happy for Lily, she’ll still worry about the pain he’s in and will fear he’s headed off the rails. That’s why Victoria has decided to send the kids to boarding school, though she’ll admit to Nikki that she hasn’t informed Billy yet.
At the ranch, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will stun Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) by revealing that Abby was right to trust her instincts. Victor will find out Chance is alive, so he’ll be glad Abby was determined enough to bring him home.
Victor will also meet up with Adam at Newman Media, where Adam will acknowledge the bidding war and wonder if his father still wants to make a play for control of ChancComm. “We’ll see,” Victor will reply. He’ll be quite curious about how far Victoria will go to get what she wants.
As for Jill, she’ll find Ashley at the Chancellor mansion and will discuss Chance’s return with her. Jill will grumble about Chance not finding a way to tell his loved ones he was alive, but she’ll ultimately decide she’s tired of all the fighting. That goes for business and life in general!
Jill will mention that she’s stepping down from Chancellor Industries and will be ready to take on the role of laid-back matriarch. That’ll get a laugh out of Ashley as she tells Jill good luck with the laid-back part.
At Devon’s penthouse again, Devon will greet Chance and Abby enthusiastically as he opens the door. After Devon hugs Chance, Amanda will do the same. Abby will be sorry for taking off the way she did, but Devon will suggest the important thing is that she proved them all wrong.
Chance will be excited to meet Dominic and will thank Devon for helping to bring him into the world. He’ll also appreciate how Devon stepped up to be a father figure when he couldn’t, so he’ll shake Devon’s hand for that.
After Devon goes upstairs to get Dominic, he’ll bring him down and introduce him to his dad. Chance will take Dominic in his arms and gush over how perfect he is. Dominic will be a little fussy, but Chance will cuddle his son and manage to soothe him.
