The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, March 12, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have coffee with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at Crimson Lights – and he won’t be pleased to find out Nikki knew Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was making a pitch to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).
Nikki didn’t want to get caught up in the drama by telling Victor, but she’ll argue that he should’ve anticipated Victoria’s move. Victor will gripe about Victoria going behind his back, but Nikki will think this should teach Victor not to challenge their daughter – though she’ll doubt he’s learned his lesson.
In Ashland’s suite, he’ll be intrigued as Victoria compliments her competitors. Ashland will admit they didn’t exactly have glowing things to say about Victoria, but she’ll think it’s a gift when people underestimate her – kind of like her secret weapon.
Ashland will talk about how he’s researched Victoria, so there’s no way he’ll be underestimating her today.
After Ashland questions Victoria about why she wants to buy Cyaxares after previously selling the media division, Victoria will argue that it’s a totally different animal. Ashland will talk about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) being cutthroat and will get no disagreement from Victoria.
However, Victoria will think Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) would do a fine job if Ashland sold to them. That said, Victoria will think she’s just the kind of leader Ashland’s looking for. Ashland will want to meet up for dinner later to continue this discussion.
Victoria will be open to that idea, so she’ll ask what kind of cuisine Ashland and his wife like. Ashland will admit Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) won’t be available since she’ll be checking in at Fenmore’s flagship store. Victoria will think they should schedule a time for the three of them to get together.
Ashland will talk about how Tara’s sharp when it comes to the financial realm, so doesn’t always take her advice – but he listens. Victoria will suggest she’s looking forward to meeting Tara and will advise Ashland to get in touch if he has any questions about her pitch.
After they agree it’s been a pleasure, Victoria will exit and leave Ashland deep in thought.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll be surprised when Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) shows up. Devon will lie about a conference call at first, but he’ll stop Elena from walking away and admit it wasn’t true. Devon will invite Elena in so they can stop putting off their discussion.
Once they’re on the sofa, Elena will realize it’s probably too late for them. Devon will argue that the problem isn’t that they don’t share the same feelings; it’s that they do. Even if they got back together, there would be insecurities that’d make things too difficult.
Devon will think they should accept that they’re not meant to be, but he’ll wish Elena the best. Elena will admit she had the best and threw it away. It’s so hard for her to live with that.
As Elena cries, Devon will help wipe away a smudge of mascara before things turn passionate. Devon and Elena will end up stripping down to make love.
Afterward, Elena and Devon will canoodle as they wonder what they’re doing. Once Devon gets a text from Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Elena will get dressed and suggest they have to set up a time to talk for real.
Elena won’t want to be the girl on the side, and Devon won’t want that either. They have to make a firm choice and stick to it.
At the Chancellor mansion, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will be thrilled after Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) reveals her egg-harvesting procedure was a success.
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will talk about how 10 eggs were harvested – Abby will insist now it’s up to the doctor and Mariah.
Mariah will learn the eggs are being fertilized and will eventually admit she’s got a gift for Abby’s special fertilization day. Abby will gush over the little honey pot and jar of honey she receives.
It’ll be Mariah’s “lame” way of tying pollination to fertilization. As Mariah starts to leave, she’ll realize the next time they see each other, she could be pregnant with Abby’s baby.
Over at the cottage, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will seem nervous ahead of their marriage counseling session, which is happening at the house so that they’re comfortable.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will learn the missing knick-knack never showed up, so he’ll think maybe they should search Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) room while she’s gone – just to make sure she didn’t take it.
Sharon won’t like the idea of invading Faith’s privacy since there have been trust issues lately, so Rey will think that’s a good point. He’ll let Sharon handle it. Talk will turn to the therapist’s upcoming visit, so Rey will appreciate Sharon’s willingness to take this step.
Sharon will just wish Rey would believe her when she says she wants to be with Rey, not Adam. “You know us detectives, we need evidence,” Rey will reply. After the therapist shows up, Rey will welcome Iris (Kathryn Browning) in.
Rey will talk about Sharon’s problematic ex and how he’s been an issue for the people in Sharon’slife. He’ll want Sharon to figure out why it’s been so hard to let go of someone who is no good for her.
Sharon will think they have different definitions of how to let go. She’ll note that she told Adam that she loves Rey and set boundaries recently.
Sharon will argue that things are on track now, but Rey will think Sharon’s in denial. Sharon will snap that she really wishes he wouldn’t try to tell Iris how she feels. Iris will want to set some ground rules about speaking only for yourself and trying not to interrupt.
Next, Iris will acknowledge that there’s a lot of history between Sharon and Adam. Rey will contend that as a cop, he knows a master manipulator when he sees one. “Adam wouldn’t know a boundary if it bit him in the…sorry,” Rey will say, catching himself and backing off a bit.
Iris will feel like she’s getting a clearer picture of what Rey and Sharon’s issues are. Sharon will insist that if anyone won’t let go, it’s Adam. After Sharon gets emotional, she’ll argue that they should be enjoying their honeymoon period – but instead they’re here.
Iris will get the feeling that Sharon blames Adam for that. Sharon will explain the “Shadam” kiss photo and how it led to this counseling session, so Rey will pipe up that it was the last straw.
Iris will think Sharon seems resentful about doing therapy, but Sharon will suggest that’s an extreme way of putting it.
When Sharon wishes Adam hadn’t put them in this position, Iris will argue that Adam wasn’t the one who gave the ultimatum.
Iris will wonder if some of the aggravation Sharon’s feeling is directed toward her husband rather than Adam. Rey will think that’s true as Sharon simultaneously says no.
After Rey says there’s plenty of aggravation to go around, he’ll admit he believes Sharon is sincere when she talks about staying away from Adam. However, Sharon doesn’t tell Adam to stay away from the coffeehouse – and the two of them always end up talking.
On Friday’s Young and the Restless episode, Rey will insist that makes him feel ignored and disrespected. Adam is a “bottomless pit of need” – and Rey loves that Sharon’s compassionate, but… “Except when you don’t,” Sharon will grumble.
Rey will clarify that he doesn’t like for Sharon to waste that compassion on someone who’s going to exploit it. Sharon wouldn’t say Adam doesn’t deserve compassion. She’ll bring up Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) tragic situation and add that she turned Adam away.
Iris will wonder how that felt, so Sharon will admit it was difficult since Adam is “very alone in the world.” Rey will think that’s because Adam is toxic, so people have learned to stay away.
Sharon will announce that she’s leaving since Rey thinks there’s something wrong with her – that she needs to be needed.
Rey will gripe about how Sharon lets Adam actively sabotage their marriage and continues to make excuses for him. Sharon will mention how Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) cheated with Rey’s brother, had a child with him and now they live together in Miami.
Rey won’t like Sharon bringing that up since they’re there to discuss Adam, but Sharon will counter that they’re there to discuss their marriage.
Sharon won’t think they can just pick and choose which parts of their histories to discuss. She’ll add that Rey’s bringing his Mia baggage to the table, which isn’t fair since Sharon isn’t Mia.
Once Iris is gone, Rey will think Sharon has to be more honest about her feelings if this is going to work. Sharon will wonder if Rey means counseling or their marriage, but Rey will suddenly seem disoriented.
After Sharon asks if Rey’s OK, he’ll admit he was feeling dizzy and suspect it was due to the stress of this situation. Rey will decide to get some water from the kitchen, but he’ll be slow and a tad wobbly as he goes.
Later, Rey will try to discuss counseling with Sharon again before he has another dizzy spell and gets the chills. Once Rey sits down on the sofa, he’ll pass out and leave Sharon crying out his name.
At Chancellor Communications on Friday’s Y&R episode, Billy will pace around and second-guess his pitch. Lily will try to calm him down, but Billy won’t think he’ll be useful until they get a decision from Ashland.
Billy will leave to take a walk and clear his head, but he’ll wind up visiting Victoria in her office.
Billy will admit it bothers him that Victoria still feels the need to protect him. Victoria will wonder if she’s offended Billy, so he’ll confess that he thought they were past Victoria thinking of him as a mess to clean up.
Victoria will argue that Billy would’ve protected her in a similar situation, but he’ll argue that’s not true since he trusts her to handle things on her own.
Victoria will argue that Billy should be afraid of Victor and Adam. She won’t want to see Billy goaded into another pointless feud. Billy will wonder why it matters to Victoria.
“You’re confusing the hell out of me,” Billy will declare. He’ll keep pushing and pushing Victoria to reveal why she’d put so much on the line for a guy who broke her heart.
“Because I still love you!” Victoria will shout to a stunned Billy. We’ll pass along updates as other Y&R news emerges. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy and Victoria will have a lot more to talk about, so stay tuned!
CDL will have lots of other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so drop by often.
