The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, May 14, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will face a Harrison Locke bombshell at his engagement bash. First, we should talk about what’ll lead up to that shocking encounter.
Kyle will experience a bittersweet day as he looks forward to his future with Summer Newman (Hunter King) and battles regrets about not being a true father.
Although Kyle is Harrison’s bio dad according to Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), his son will never know who he is unless something changes.
Kyle will try to make peace with that and let Harrison go, but it won’t be easy – particularly when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) makes a powerful speech about family.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will hand down John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) pocket watch so that Kyle can give it to his own pride and joy one day. Kyle will try not to show how torn up he is inside, but he’ll definitely be fighting back some difficult emotions.
Jack will also strike a deal with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) on Friday’s Y&R episode. That may involve an agreement to guide their children as best as they can and never let any “Skyle” drama interfere in their friendship.
Jack considers Phyllis a great pal, so he certainly won’t want anything to ruin that. Maybe Phyllis and Jack will vow to not let anything stand in the way of their bond.
This pact could become important if Jack inches back in Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) direction as expected down the road!
In the meantime, let’s get back to the engagement bash drama. After Jack toasts to Kyle and Summer, a surprising guest will arrive. Y&R spoilers say this party crasher will be the last person Kyle expected to show up.
That doesn’t quite fit for Tara or even Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). It sounds like Kyle will lock eyes with little Harrison for the first time and be thrown for a serious loop. Of course, three-year-old Harrison can’t come on his own, so he’ll need an assist from Mommy.
Even so, Harrison’s arrival should be the bomb that drops and turns Kyle’s world topsy-turvy. The question is: Why will Tara be back in Genoa City with Harrison?
Regardless of the answer, seeing Harrison should bring out Kyle’s paternal side and boost his desire to be a real dad to his son.
As for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), she’ll finally decide the fate of her marriage. Sharon felt there was no hope when Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) suspected Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) affair claims could be true.
Nevertheless, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) expresses his faith in Sharon and Rey’s reconciliation on Thursday’s show.
How will Sharon feel once she mulls over her relationship and makes this big decision on Friday, May 14? Will Sharon want to fight for Rey or accept it’s not meant to be?
We know Rey will make a vow to Sharon during the week of May 17-21, so that could involve a marriage recommitment or a vow to support her whether they’re together or apart.
