The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is slowly opening her heart to Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey), which is great news. Naya is eager to get to know Amanda a bit better, so they’ll continue their meetings in Genoa City and hopefully develop a solid relationship in time.
Of course, this means Naya will establish even more of a presence in GC. It could open the door to Naya branching out with some storylines of her own – and maybe even a new love interest.
Naya has an offscreen husband, but that marriage could take a hit once he finds out she’s been secretly meeting with her biological daughter.
That’s especially true if Naya’s hubby feels like she’s choosing Amanda over their own daughter, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose). It’s easy to see the potential for marital strife, so Naya could easily head in the romantic direction of another man – perhaps a kind, understanding man like Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)!
On Instagram, Ptosha Storey shared a picture of herself with Peter Bergman. They look pretty cute standing next to each other, so maybe Y&R should give Jack and Naya a shot! Based on Storey’s kind words about Bergman in her post, she’d no doubt love to work with him on a new story.
Jack is currently quite smitten with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but Sally and Jack’s romance just doesn’t seem like it’ll be built to last. Sally is a great deal younger and surely wants different things out of life than Jack at this point.
This casual thing they’ve got going on is fine, but Jack and Sally are likely going to run into problems if they try to get serious and look at what they want long-term.
Meanwhile, Naya is older than Sally and already has grown children. She’s mature and someone who Jack would probably be far more compatible with.
If The Young and the Restless paired up Jack and Naya, it could pull Amanda into the story and create some interesting new opportunities.
It’s worth considering since Naya seems to be sticking around – and Jack will need someone to help mend his broken heart if Sally breaks it.
