The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that some romantic shakeups are on the horizon, so let’s talk about one couple in particular that could be headed for rocky territory. Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) have once again settled into a nice groove, but that’s not going to last.
Y&R fans know Kyle and Summer faced a rough patch due to Summer’s persistent insecurities. Summer couldn’t shake the feeling that Kyle was hung up on Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), so she became a runaway bride and ditched their elopement plans.
It took a lot of work to get back to where Summer and Kyle are now, but they’re on cloud nine again – and that gives them a long way to fall! The Young and the Restless viewers have been waiting to see what drama might arise for “Skyle” next.
There’s no confirmation just yet, but some new Y&R insider leaks point to Kyle cheating on Summer in the near future.
Of course, this is one of those times where it doesn’t look that way on screen right now. Summer and Kyle are madly in love, but we can’t forget about Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) feud with Summer.
Since Summer’s in LA as we speak collecting dirt on Sally, you’d better believe Sally’s going to fight back – and we already know she intends to use Kyle against her rival.
That’s been Sally’s plan ever since Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) suggested that Kyle was Summer’s kryptonite.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally’s response to Summer’s plot will be to dig up dirt on Kyle. You’d think it’d be Summer who Sally would want the scoop on, but it’s Kyle whose past will come back to haunt him. It might be a situation where Sally doesn’t even have to dig too deep.
Sally might overhear something she can use to her advantage – perhaps something about Kyle’s failed marriage to Lola. If Sally somehow gives Kyle a push back into bed with his ex-wife, that’d pretty much be the worst possible thing she could do to Summer.
That would also keep Sally looking innocent, which would be ideal since she needs to stay on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Lauren Baldwin’s (Tracey E. Bregman) good side.
On the other hand, Sally might prefer to climb Mount Kyle herself! The setup is there for Sally to steal Summer’s man if that’s how Y&R writers want to play this.
Regardless, we’re hearing from reliable insiders that Kyle’s going to betray Summer. If that happens as expected, it’s just a matter of how it’ll go down and who’ll be the “other woman.” We’ll bring you updates as other Y&R news emerges.
