The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) has a health crisis in his future, so we should talk about the purpose of this plot point.
Ashland will clutch his chest in the universal heart attack and seem like he’s in serious pain during a stressful confrontation with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so he’s probably going to need medical attention.
Assuming that Ashland survives this ordeal, he should still wind up hospitalized for a while. This could be important since it affects Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and Harrison Locke.
Could Y&R writers be setting the stage for Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) first encounter with his son?
When Ashland first showed up in town with Tara, they talked about how Harrison didn’t do all that great on flights. However, there was also talk about how Ashland and Tara didn’t like to be away from Harrison for too long.
We’ve also heard Ashland on the phone with Harrison before – promising to return to him soon and bring a surprise. Harrison could easily battle some separation anxiety if his parents are gone for longer than a night or two.
Tara may ultimately feel like she has no choice but to bring Harrison to Genoa City, where Ashland will be fighting to recover from this apparent cardiac episode.
That’s especially true if Ashland demands that Tara bring Harrison or the nanny is unable to work for whatever reason.
Tara may get on a plane with Harrison despite the fact that flights aren’t really his thing. Sometimes you just do what you have to do when there are extreme circumstances like a family member being in the hospital.
If Ashland has a heart attack and is stuck at Memorial, that might be a good enough reason for Tara to bring Harrison with her to GC.
That brings us to some Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of April 26-30.
Kyle will get a surprising gift, so what could that mean? Perhaps Kyle will get a big surprise when he crosses paths with his son for the very first time. Kyle’s gift may be meeting his own flesh and blood.
It’s certainly a possibility to consider since Kyle currently resides at The Grand Phoenix and that may be where Tara gets a room with Harrison. It wouldn’t be hard for Kyle to bump into Tara and Harrison down in the lobby.
This is the kind of thing that could force Kyle to reexamine his feelings about fatherhood and perhaps convince him to fight for this precious little boy. Regardless, Ashland will face a medical crisis that could force Tara to bring Harrison to town.
Since we know Kyle’s going to get a surprising gift, it makes sense that Kyle and Harrison might meet for the first time.
