The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) fall wedding might be to Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) – leaving Summer Newman (Hunter King) heartbroken over the bride swap for Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) sake.
Summer and Kyle are currently looking forward to their autumn Y&R nuptials, but all this custody drama could be a game-changer. Even after Kyle claims paternity, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) could still pose a threat.
If Ashland can’t have custody of Harrison, he might resolve to make sure Kyle and Tara can’t have custody either. Ashland is a bitter man who clearly values pride and revenge over his own family. He wouldn’t hesitate to put his own desires for retribution over Harrison’s needs.
Tara fears Ashland will make sure she’s declared an unfit mother, so Ashland might try to make Kyle seem like an unfit father, too. Harrison’s well-being is in jeopardy, so Kyle may wind up willing to make some desperate moves to preserve his son’s future.
Ashland has demanded an immediate divorce thanks to Tara’s affair confession. Tara and Ashland will get the ball rolling on that soon enough, so that could leave Tara single and ready to wed again by this fall.
The waiting period would be a bit longer in Wisconsin if this were real life, but this is a soap – and that means they can do whatever they want!
Tara may grant Ashland the divorce he wants and ultimately prepare to wed Kyle next. Kyle may feel like a marriage would provide some stability and make them seem more appealing in a judge’s eyes.
That’s especially true if Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) manages to destroy Summer and Kyle’s engagement. It could leave Kyle ready to marry Tara, which would help fight against the attacks Ashland will inevitably carry out against them.
Kyle and Tara may want to present themselves as the perfect reunited family and make Ashland seem like the big bad wolf who’s trying to get in the way. Of course, there’s no guarantee Kyle will actually marry Tara.
It could be a situation where Kyle leaves Tara at the altar and decides he just can’t hurt Summer with another marriage to someone else.
