The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) may face a baby crisis that forces Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) to reveal himself as her captor. Will the doctor have no choice but to leap into action?
Y&R fans know Mariah’s stuck in a windowless room with a dumbwaiter that delivers food.
Mariah is getting the proper nutrition as well as prenatal vitamins, so the person holding her obviously cares about doing what’s best for the baby.
That person is likely Stitch based on all the clues the show’s offered so far.
However, Mariah doesn’t know who’s holding her or why at this point.
Mariah’s getting the silent treatment from her kidnapper, but that could change if the stress of all this brings on a crisis for the baby.
Mariah is a smart cookie with a background in pulling off cons, so she might even fake a crisis to see if the captor will come out of hiding.
It could give Mariah the opportunity for a sneak attack and an escape attempt.
Then again, the crisis could be all too real and quite terrifying. Mariah has been feeling claustrophobic and has struggled to keep her breathing regulated.
This hostage ordeal would be stressful for anyone, but it’s particularly hard on a pregnant woman.
There may come a point when it’s just too much for Mariah to bear, so the baby could be at risk.
Whether it wound up being the real deal or a trick, Mariah might cry out in pain and frantically insist she needs help.
Could Stitch burst in and put his doctor skills to good use?
Imagine Mariah’s shock if Stitch comes to her rescue after putting her in this situation in the first place!
Stitch might check Mariah out and determine she’s just having Braxton Hicks contractions or something along those lines.
Whatever the case, this seems like a good way for the show to clue Mariah in on who’s holding her hostage.
