The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will be on the receiving end of a huge request soon. As Y&R viewers know, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) has recently been through a harrowing ordeal in which she was told that she is unable to carry a baby.
Now Abby will be looking for a surrogate to carry her baby, and Mariah will be her first choice.
According to Y&R spoilers, Mariah is going to be stunned by Abby’s request, but it looks like she may eventually agree to taking on the role of surrogate for Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz).
This means that Abby and Chance’s fertilized embryo will be carried by Mariah, and she’ll eventually give birth to the little Chancellor bundle of joy.
Of course, this will be much more than a simple favor on Mariah’s part. Obviously, having a baby is a big deal, and it involves both a physiological and a psychological commitment.
Surely, Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will talk the whole thing over to make sure that they’re both willing to shoulder all the burdens and face the situation together.
Interestingly, Mariah, Tessa, and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) recently had a conversation at Society about motherhood.
Mariah and Tessa seemed to act like they hadn’t talked as a couple about having a baby someday or how that would work, but something tells us that once Mariah has had the magical experience of carrying a baby and giving birth, she might want to do it again.
In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if Mariah ends up realizing through the experience just how wonderful it would be for herself and Tessa to have a baby of their own.
This might even spur Mariah and Tessa to consider exactly how they’re going to have a family – and they might each want to experience pregnancy in the process.
We’ll see what happens here, but there’s always the possibility that Mariah and Tessa will get baby fever after Mariah’s pregnancy for Abby. That could make things interesting, especially if Abby and Chance want more children and want Mariah to carry yet another child in the future.
Of course, that’s quite far off, but once Mariah has a child of her own, she might be unwilling to be a surrogate again.
At any rate, we could see a baby boom in Genoa City once Mariah gets into being pregnant and bringing life into the world. Do you expect to see Mariah and Tessa start a family after Mariah’s surrogacy experience is through?
