The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, April 26, teases that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will apologize as he shows up late for his date with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Billy will fill Lily in on Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) having a heart attack and will add that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) stole Cyaxares away from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Billy will note that Victoria banned Victor from Newman Enterprises, so Lily will wonder how he learned all of this. Y&R spoilers say Billy will admit that Victoria paid him a visit just before their date. He’ll explain that Victor used Ashland’s distress to his advantage, which Lily will find appalling.
Billy will talk about how he didn’t want to miss the show after Victoria headed off to confront Victor, so he “crashed the party.”
Lily will be irritated since Victoria ran to Billy with the news in person instead of calling, texting or telling them both at the office. However, Billy will think they should focus on their date.
At The Grand Phoenix, Victoria will let Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) know she laid down the law with Victor about not interfering at Newman. Victoria will add that if the Cyaxares deal ends up being void because it was made under duress, all bets are off.
Nikki will point out that Victor has a need to control things, but Victoria will argue that she has that same need. She’ll intend to take the company to new heights her way and will count on Nikki to back her up.
At Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) penthouse, she’ll excitedly tell Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) that she was able to feed herself today. Chelsea will demonstrate how she can stand, but she’ll pretend to wobble a bit.
Nate will gush over Chelsea’s incredible progress before talk turns to the poisoning case. Chelsea will suggest the idea of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) doing this doesn’t really surprise her considering his history, especially when it comes to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
Chelsea will tell Nate that once she’s strong enough, she plans to leave Genoa City and all the bad memories behind. Nate will hope Chelsea finds peace and will feel confident she can reclaim her life.
Meanwhile, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will stand on the Crimson Lights patio and lock eyes with Sharon as she sits with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Rey will take a call about the lack of progress on finding Adam and decide they need a strategy shift.
Later, Chelsea will be talking to herself when Rey arrives at the door. She’ll scramble to get back in her wheelchair before telling Rey to come in. Chelsea will admit to talking to herself before Rey brings up a new plan.
Rey will suggest drawing Adam out of hiding by bringing Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) back to town and pretending he’s sick. He’ll essentially want to use Connor as bait.
Chelsea will tell Rey “absolutely not” since she can’t have Connor anywhere near his dangerous father. She’ll point out that Adam could grab Connor and leave the country, but Rey will insist he’d have undercover cops all around – just waiting to apprehend Adam.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will insist that Connor would be perfectly safe, but Chelsea will point out that Connor is a smart kid and would realize he played a part in Adam’s capture.
Chelsea will suggest this could traumatize Connor and will ask if Rey even cares about that.
Chelsea will wonder if that’s how badly Rey wants to see Adam locked up. She’ll note that she’s heard Rey is a good cop and a man of integrity. Chelsea will ask if Adam is so far under Rey’s skin that he’s willing to throw all that away.
Back at Crimson Lights, Faith will offer updates on how Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) came to her rescue at school. She’ll talk about rehab starting to tomorrow and how she’ll take any questions she has to Nikki.
Faith will open up about her first therapy session before she steps away and exchanges some flirty texts with Moses, who’ll agree to come see her.
Once Moses arrives, he’ll chat with Nick briefly and then support Faith ahead of her first rehab session. Nick will join Sharon on the patio, where she’ll confess Rey moved out. Sharon will talk about how she was making progress with Rey until Adam called and blew everything up again.
Nick will praise Adam for saving Faith, but he won’t be able to ignore all the horrible things his brother has done. Adam may have cost Sharon her marriage – at least that’ll be Sharon’s fear. Nevertheless, Nick will think maybe Rey just needs time.
Sharon will admit she’s facing a predicament since she honestly believes Chelsea set Adam up. She’ll realize it sounds like she’s defending Adam, but she won’t like the idea of helping Chelsea get away with it either.
Nick will think Sharon needs to focus on making her husband feel like the most important thing in the world. He’ll be hopeful about Rey sorting out his feelings and finding his way back to Sharon.
When Nikki arrives, she’ll be pleased to see Moses and Faith connecting. Nikki will speak with Moses on his way out and then give Faith some tips on her recovery ahead of her rehab session.
At Society, Billy and Lily will discuss continuing the steamy portion of their date back at the hotel. Suddenly, Victoria will arrive with a warning. She’ll point out that since she’s pushing Victor out at Newman Enterprises, he could have extra time to go after ChancComm.
Lily will touch Billy’s arm and insist they make a good team, but Victoria will argue they’re no match for her father.
Once Victoria is alone, she’ll scowl over some news on her phone about Victor’s Cyaxares acquisition. Someone will call for a quote, so Victoria will wish Victor the best on his new endeavor. She’ll declare that she’ll remain focused on Newman Enterprises – now and always.
After Billy and Lily make love back in their suite, Lily will drift off to sleep. Billy will cuddle with Lily until she turns over – and then he’ll look glum over the Cyaxares acquisition news on his phone as well.
Across town, Sharon will return home to an empty cottage and wallow in her sadness.
Back at the penthouse, Rey will claim he told himself that the end would justify the means. Chelsea will argue that Connor is an extremely fragile, impressionable boy – one who loves his dad. Rey will then open up about how his hatred for Adam is taking over his life.
Chelsea will note that she understands what it’s like to let Adam become an obsession. Rey will suggest it scares him, but Chelsea will think doing the right thing is in Rey’s DNA. “You’re not like the rest of us, Rey,” Chelsea will insist.
Rey will squint at Chelsea suspiciously as he considers her comments. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will be putting Chelsea to the test – and it doesn’t look like she’ll pass!
