The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 30, teases that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will demand that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) be locked up forever. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will also open up about his instant baby bond, so here’s what Y&R has in store.
In Mariah’s hospital room, she’ll go on a tirade about Stitch while the baby’s off getting cleaned up and tested.
Mariah feared she might end up a dead woman at the end of that nightmare. She’ll fret over how horribly wrong things could’ve gone for Bowie and will want Stitch sent to the slammer.
Stitch will unfortunately still be on the run, but the GCPD will keep working hard to find him.
After Mariah vents to Devon and Abby Newman-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), they’ll head to the waiting area so Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) can come in.
Sharon will express her great relief that Mariah’s OK and will praise her daughter for protecting the baby all that time.
Tessa will hug Mariah over and over as they savor this long-awaited reunion – and later, Tessa will decide to say a prayer of gratitude at the chapel.
Devon will confide in Nate about the bond he felt with the baby, which was instant. As Devon recalls Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) losing her unborn child, he’ll feel like he’s rambling and not making much sense.
However, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will understand and get that Devon’s been emotionally affected on a deep level.
Abby will beat herself up for not seeing the Stitch warning signs, but she’ll be glad Devon was there to be the hero.
Of course, Devon will downplay his part in the rescue and suggest they simply all came together as a team.
As for Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz), Abby will hate that he’s still out there somewhere – not even knowing he’s become a father.
While Mariah’s asleep, Abby will feed the baby for the first time with a bottle. As Devon watches with a look of wonder and longing,
Abby will admit she’s never loved anyone more. She’ll refer to herself as the baby’s “Mommy,” but Mariah will seem somber and a tad jealous as she wakes up to hear it.
At The Grand Phoenix, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will irk Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) with a hypothetical question. He’ll want to know if Phyllis would consider getting back together with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) if he weren’t in the picture.
Phyllis won’t want to go down that road since Nick’s right there and the person she’s committed to.
When pressed, Phyllis will assure Nick that friendship is all she shares with Jack. She’ll hope Nick isn’t feeling threatened, so he’ll insist that he isn’t.
At Society, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will gush over Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) old fashion lines as she speaks with her on video chat. Chelsea will see right through Sally’s act since you can’t con a con!
Chelsea will know Sally’s just trying to butter her up and will warn Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on a separate video chat afterward.
Chelsea will make it clear that Sally has a questionable track record and will think Adam should take a closer look at Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) latest hire.
As for Chloe, she’ll be upset when Chelsea refuses to commit to the online fashion platform. Chloe will note that they can only hold the position for so long and might have to move forward without Chelsea’s involvement.
Back with Phyllis, she’ll confront Sally about putting ideas in Nick’s head and will warn her rival to stay away from him.
Sally will point out that she landed on her feet after Phyllis’ attempt to tear her down, but Phyllis will insist Chloe simply threw her a bone. She’ll mock Sally’s new connection with Adam and will push Sally to stay in her lane or live to regret it.
After Sally drops by Adam’s office and shows off some great work on her tablet, Adam will be impressed.
Since Sally will keep hinting about a plan Adam inspired – one that’ll help her make a name for herself – Adam will be intrigued enough to invite her to the launch party tomorrow.
Sally will only give Adam a “we’ll see” as a response, but she’ll just be reeling him in.
As for Sally’s mysterious plan, that should involve the spectacular wedding dress she intends to design for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam and Sally’s spark could turn into a roaring flame soon, so stay tuned.
