The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, July 12 Recap – Sally’s Video Shock – Victor Bans Connor from Chelsea Trip

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, July 12, reveals that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) video will bring a shock while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) bans Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) from Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) trip – overriding Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in the process.

In the park on Monday’s Y&R episode, Adam will refuse to let Chelsea take Connor out of state with her.

Chelsea will bicker with Adam, but she’ll ultimately guess her release is the best she can hope for. She’ll accept that she’ll be going to see Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) alone.

At Newman Enterprises, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will talk to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about the merger deal.

Although Nikki won’t like keeping secrets, she’ll understand why this had to stay under wraps.

After Ashland goes to spend some time with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) in the park, Nikki will admit she’s worried about Victoria’s heart.

Nikki will fear Victoria is developing a deep, emotional connection to a man who apparently doesn’t have much time left.

However, Victoria will promise she’s got the situation and her emotions under control.

Over with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) at the Abbott mansion, she’ll talk to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about Harrison starting pre-school soon.

Tara will also mention signing Harrison up for some activities like T-ball and putting down the Abbott residence as her address.

Kyle will assure Tara that it’s fine and that no one’s in a hurry for Tara or Harrison to leave.

Tara will talk about how important family is for Harrison right now. She’ll also fish to find out if Kyle has talked to Summer Newman (Hunter King) since she left, but he’ll admit he hasn’t.

Tara will joke about a breakup being cheaper than a divorce and will suggest maybe Kyle can be friends with Summer one day.

Talk will turn to how Tara and Kyle are in the same boat of rebuilding their lives.

Tara will think the perfect way to forget their heartache for a while involves taking Harrison on a picnic, so Kyle will be on board.

At Crimson Lights, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will flirt with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) before she takes a call.

Sharon will admit she hasn’t heard from Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and will relay the news to Rey about her daughter’s strange last-minute business trip.

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will seem pensive at Society, where he’ll think back on his chat with Sally at the bar.

Soon after, Sally will come in and toot her own horn about a victory at work. She got a popular actress to post a photo online wearing a JCV ensemble and scored lots of hits.

Sally will want to celebrate over drinks, but Jack will get a message about hanging out with Harrison in the park.

Since Sally could use some sunshine, she’ll wonder if she can walk with Jack and then go on her merry way. “After you,” Jack will reply with a smile.

Back with Adam, he’ll head to the ranch and talk to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about Chelsea’s release.

Adam will expect Chelsea to follow the rules, but Victor will think her cooperation is suspicious.

In retrospect, Victor will feel like leaving Chelsea locked up indefinitely might’ve been a good idea – especially now that her mother is in the mix.

Adam will point out that he verified Anita’s broken hip with the hospital, but Victor will still have his doubts.

Regardless, Adam won’t think it matters since Connor is staying put and Chelsea will be traveling alone. Victor will wish Adam hadn’t taken Connor to see Chelsea and will offer a warning.

Victor won’t believe this is the time for sentimentality, generosity or weakness. Victor will feel like Chelsea and Anita are two of the most devious women around!

At the coffeehouse again, Chelsea will scare Sharon half to death when she suddenly appears.

Chelsea will assure Sharon that she didn’t escape – and Rey will walk over to back Chelsea up on her claims of being released. Chelsea will want to make amends to Sharon, so she’ll insist she’s deeply sorry for her actions.

Chelsea will add that she now realizes Adam always loved Sharon more than he ever loved her – even if it was a twisted, pathetic and one-sided kind of love.

Even after therapy, Chelsea won’t be sure if her aneurysm or broken heart triggered her breakdown.

Chelsea will think Sharon can relate to what she went through, but Sharon will pipe up about Chelsea choosing to do what she did.

Chelsea will insist she was unwell and will regret her behavior until the day she dies. She’ll also talk about still being at Victor and Adam’s mercy when it comes to Connor.

Chelsea won’t feel in control, so she’ll argue that it’s like being back in that wheelchair.

Sharon will thank Chelsea for the apology and wish her luck before walking off. Rey will also wish Chelsea the best, so she’ll hope she can find a way to repay him for everything one day.

Once Chelsea is gone, Sharon will reconvene with Rey and wonder what he thinks.

Although Rey always battled doubts about Chelsea’s breakdown, he’ll think she’s right about Chelsea being at Victor and Adam’s mercy when it comes to Connor. Rey will feel like it’s almost as bad as being locked up.

After Jack greets Harrison in the park with Sally by his side, Kyle will promptly pull his dad aside.

Kyle won’t be happy about seeing Jack with Sally, but Jack won’t think Kyle should read too much into it. Jack will insist this isn’t a date and will add that he’s simply open to happiness.

As for Sally, she’ll quiz Tara about how things are going with Kyle. Tara won’t offer much info, but she’ll point out that things seem to be going well between Sally and Jack.

Sally will admit the process is slow, but she’ll be OK with that and will enjoy every moment they spend together.

Tara will want a video of herself playing with Harrison, so she’ll ask Sally to make one on her phone.

As Sally starts recording, Ashland will appear and expect to spend the afternoon with his boy.

Tara will insist that’s tomorrow, but Ashland will get all worked up claiming the texts said today.

Ashland will clutch his chest and struggle to breathe before yelling to get Harrison away from him.

After Kyle leads Harrison off to see the ducks, Tara will scold Ashland for terrifying their son.

Ashland will think Tara’s exaggerating and will insist he didn’t want Harrison to see him struggling. “Get your damn dates correct next time,” Ashland will warn before stomping off.

Soon after, Sally will admit to Tara that she got Ashland on video being a supreme jerk. She’ll show Tara the video of Ashland looking ill and berating Tara.

Sally will offer to edit it so Tara can keep the part of Harrison playing, but Tara will insist she wants to delete it.

However, Tara will step aside and secretly text it to herself before she does.

Back in Victoria’s office, she’ll nod off and dream Ashland has found some promising new treatments to try.

Ashland will gush about Victoria giving him a new lease on life, so she’ll think this changes everything.

They’ll lean in for a kiss before Victoria gets a phone call that jolts her out of the fantasy.

When Victoria finds Ashland at Society, he’ll be in a foul mood. Ashland will snap at Victoria, but she won’t let him take his frustration out on her.

After Ashland decides Victoria is right, he’ll apologize and agree to tell her what happened.

On the Crimson Lights patio, Sharon will summon Adam and mention getting a visit from Chelsea. She’ll surprise Adam by pleading Chelsea’s case and encouraging him to let Connor go with Chelsea.

Sharon will make some good points, so Adam will call Connor and ask about how he’d feel about taking a trip with his mom.

Afterward, Chelsea will be ecstatic to learn Adam’s had a change of heart. She’ll thank Adam, but Victor will show up to override Adam’s decision.

Victor will point out that Chelsea can go for as long as she likes, but he’ll insist Connor is staying there in town.

Neither Adam nor Chelsea will seem pleased over Victor laying down the law.
