The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is having a tough time right now. Recently, Amanda’s worst fears were realized when her biological mother Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) revealed that Amanda and Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) were “mistakes” and that she never wanted them.
And to make matters worse, Amanda’s half-sister Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) went overboard and had a restraining order drawn up against Amanda, preventing Amanda from coming anywhere near Naya. It was a big power play on the Benedict family’s part, and it really peeved Amanda.
Well, it’s hard to imagine Naya or Imani ever reaching out to Amanda in the future, and right now Amanda’s pretty upset with them and doesn’t want to reach out to them, either. But that could all change down the line, especially if circumstances arise in which Naya and Imani really need Amanda’s help.
What if Naya were to become ill and needed some sort of medical assistance that only a blood relative could provide, such as blood transfusion or even something more serious like a donor kidney? That would certainly be a vehicle to foster more interaction between the Benedict family and Amanda.
In fact, we could see a situation in which Naya and Imani are forced to come to Amanda for help in order to save Naya’s life.
That would put Amanda in a difficult position – she’d obviously want to help out her bio mom, but then again, she might feel like Naya and Imani are asking only out of necessity and because they need something.
It would be an interesting situation for sure, and it could actually foster some positive feelings among the three women depending on how it all plays out. It would definitely be a situation that would force interactions between Naya, Imani, and Amanda going forward, and maybe much more!
And if Naya and Imani are forced to come to Amanda and beg for her help, then that would really shift the position of power in their relationship.
Right now, the Benedicts have all the power and their wielding it heavily, but if they get into the position of needing Amanda’s kidney (for example), then they may have to come begging for Amanda’s help!
