The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) seems poised to replace Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) problem child – at least for a while. A new father-son feud is set to explode over Nick’s betrayal and other blunders he’s made along the way.
Victor was wary when Nick first went against Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wishes and showed up at the palazzo.
Although Victor personally wanted to see as many of his children there as possible, he was also mindful of Victoria’s feelings and the pressure she was already under.
Nick could tell Victor viewed him as a problem – and there’s no denying that Nick has become more problematic than Adam lately.
Adam used to be a total nightmare for the Newmans, but now he’s focused on making amends with his siblings and has been joining forces with Victor as well.
Adam became Victor’s crucial ally during all the Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) drama. Once the wedding concludes, Adam and Victor will end up scheming against Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at ChancComm, too.
Victor and Adam’s bond will keep growing stronger, but the rift between Nick and Victor could keep widening.
During the week of October 18-22, angry Victor will think there’s some business he needs to settle with Nick.
Victor couldn’t get into it during the wedding festivities since he didn’t want to make a scene and derail Victoria’s big day.
There’ll be time to address Victor’s concerns later – and those concerns should include Nick going behind Victoria’s back in New Jersey.
Victor won’t be a fan of Nick’s attitude lately either, so there’ll be more than one reason for Victor to get riled.
Y&R spoilers say Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will land in the middle of the conflict, so she’ll try to help Victor and Nick find a path forward. However, it seems like the show may want to build on this new father-son feud.
Nick is normally the one who gets along with Victor, but they’ve flipped the script so that Adam’s the one doing that.
Will Nick make more mistakes and push Victor further over the edge? Victor definitely has a temper when his kids don’t stay in line and do what they’re told.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has also been clashing with Nick over his family’s treatment of him, so the show could be setting the stage for even bigger issues within the Newman clan.
Bottom line, the latest Newman father-son feud will erupt during the week of October 18-22 – and it could get worse from there!
