Sharon will say that she’s just trying to help Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Rey will stop Sharon, pointing out that she just can’t seem to stay away from Adam.

Rey will list all the times when Sharon has gone running to help Adam, and he’ll say that it’s never over. Rey will say that Sharon’s connection to Adam isn’t purely professional, and he’ll ask why she entwines her life with Adam’s.

Sharon won’t really answer, and Rey will think it’s because she wants to be the one to save and support Adam.

Rey will say that he doesn’t doubt that Sharon loves him, but he’ll think on some level that she’s still in love with Adam, and that it’s the kind of love that will never completely go away.

Sharon will say that Adam matters to her, but that Rey is her husband. “I’m drawing a line in the sand – I don’t want you to see Adam again,” Rey will say. “I need to matter more than him.”

Sharon will fume that Rey is threatening their marriage over hand holding, and Rey will fire back that this isn’t about hand holding.

Rey will ask Sharon just how much more he’s supposed to take, and Sharon will say that she’s not having an affair with Adam. Rey will say that not every betrayal is a physical affair, and that sometimes the betrayals that aren’t are more painful.

Rey will walk out of the room, and Sharon will leave the house upset. Meanwhile, over at Adam’s penthouse, Adam will tell Chelsea’s private nurse that he’s going out because he can’t seem to wind down.

A short time later, Adam will show up at Society, where he’ll find Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

After some talk about Chelsea’s lack of progress in her recovery, Adam will mention to Victor how Sharon grounds him. Victor will find that interesting, and he’ll learn that Sharon is treating Chelsea as a therapist.

Victor will note this primal connection that Adam has with Sharon, but Adam won’t want to talk about it.

Later, Adam will be on his way out of the restaurant, and he’ll bump into Sharon, who’s arriving. Sharon will note that she was out on a drive thinking, and Adam will share that he’s been questioning his motives about asking her to be Chelsea’s therapist.

Adam will say that it was selfish of him, and that seeing Sharon was something to look forward to.

Sharon will appreciate the apology. but she’ll say she’s not sure that she deserves it, since she had her own reasons for treating Chelsea. “What is it about us?” Adam will muse. Sharon will say that she can’t discuss this now, and that there is no “us.”

Sharon will start rambling, and she’ll say that Rey is questioning whether she still loves Adam. Adam will wonder why Rey would question that, and Sharon won’t want to talk about it. Sharon will go to leave, but Adam will tell Sharon to wait, and then he’ll pull her into a passionate kiss.

Over at Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Devon will be in the living room drinking some water when Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) walks down the stairs and joins him. Devon and Amanda will flirt happily after their lovemaking and Devon will school Amanda on what his various tattoos stand for.

After enjoying some ice cream together, Amanda will admit that she’s happy with where tonight went, and Devon will return the sentiment.

Amanda will wonder what this all means and where they go from here, and Devon will suggest that they not overthink it. Amanda will like the sound of that.

Amanda will also want to make sure that Devon is completely over Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). Devon will assure Amanda that Elena is in his past now, and that chapter of his life is over. Amanda will be satisfied, and she and Devon will head back upstairs to bed.

At their tropical getaway, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will find Elena unable to sleep and listening to the ocean waves.

Elena will admit to having a dream that shook her up, and Nate will wonder if it was about Devon given Elena’s slip earlier when she called Nate by Devon’s name.

“Is this all happening too fast for you?” Nate will ask, wondering if there’s something that Elena isn’t telling him. Elena will say that she wants to go back to bed and make love, which they’ll do.

Later, Nate will be unable to sleep, and he’ll mention that he’s been thinking about the last few times they’ve seen Devon.

“I think you’re hiding something – some secret,” Nate will say. “I know the signs. You slept with Devon, didn’t you?” Nate will ask. Elena will admit that it’s true, and she’ll apologize, explaining that it happened during the ice storm.

Elena will say that she and Devon needed to figure out if there was anything left between them, and that they realized that they are in different places now and can’t go backwards.

Nate will say that it seems like Elena doesn’t know what she wants, and he’ll go for a walk by the beach to think.
