The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sean Carrigan (Ben Stitch Rayburn) is expected to remain part of Y&R’s cast for awhile longer. That’s great news for fans of this solid actor, who was a regular member of the ensemble from 2013-2017.
Carrigan’s initially scheduled short stint appeared to have been part of a villain transformation, with Stitch being revealed as Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) abductor. Fans of the actor and believable daytime drama are hoping that the good doctor hasn’t gone mad.

If Stitch fell off the edge of sanity and abducted Mariah, then he will be eventually revealed. Ben will either be arrested, escape, or potentially meet an endgame fate.
It would make sense if the doctor has developed some type of condition that’s impacting his capacities. That would allow this storyline to be somewhat explainable.
In the above instance Stitch could return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, someday. But the law enforcement community and potentially good doctors would need to deal with him in the meantime.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – If Stitch Is Innocent, Then He Needs To Stay
Ideally, Stitch is not the person who has captured Mariah. The likely default is that he’s the guilty party or someone like Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is the guilty party.
But let’s be equitable, with however that intentionally subjective term is intended. A male is the only one who could have captured Mariah? What about Alice Johnson (Tamara Clatterbuck)?
Yes, Alice is as good a choice as anyone to be lashing out. Her connection to Cassie Newman (Grimes) in great daytime days gone by and criminal connections in more recent years makes her as good suspect. Alternatively, maybe she’s teaming with someone.
So, if Stitch isn’t the villain, and hopefully he’s not, then Carrigan will hopefully be part of Y&R indefinitely.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Abby Newman Abbot Chancellor Needs A Resolution
Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) has been through the proverbial wringer washer countless times this year. Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is called back into action, just after Chabs honeymoon ends? Come on.
All was going well in the surrogate storyline, with Mariah and Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) selflessness seemingly adding sweetness to Abby’s life while Chance is away. Then, Mariah goes missing. What?
Abby and the audience needs this conflict resolved and all questions answered. So, it would be great if Stitch helps to resolve this problem, rather than be the cause of it.
