The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, April 27 Recap – Billy Waylays Tara, Lily Furious – Devon Warns Amanda of Victor

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 27, reveals that Amanda Sinclair will sport a brand-new look as an announcement plays about Kayla Mosley portraying the role temporarily.

Amanda will gaze at a photo of her deceased father, Richard Nealon, before looking pensively at the text Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) sent about this only ending badly for her.

After opening the door following a knock, Amanda will find Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) standing there with a pizza. Devon will know Amanda’s busy with the case, but he’ll point out that she still has to eat. Amanda will admit that Devon’s timing is perfect.

While Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) sleeps, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will carefully slip out of their suite undetected. Downstairs in the lobby, Billy will find Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) handling a crisis over the phone.

Phyllis will sense that Billy needs help with a problem and will urge him to lay it on her, but he’ll insist there are only challenges and opportunities.

Billy will confess that his never-ending challenge is Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but Phyllis will think he should do what she did and walk away. She’ll talk about accepting that she’s never going to put a dent in Victor’s armor.

Now that Billy is no longer with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis will think Billy is free. She’ll push him to let go of this battle, but “we’ll see” is the best Billy will be able to offer.

Afterward on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Billy will spot Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) and ask about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). He’ll admit he’s in the media business and is looking for some confirmation.

Billy will point out that Victor pushed Ashland to sign the contract while he was fighting for his life. “Look, I know that’s probably shocking to hear. It wouldn’t be if you knew Victor the way I do,” Billy will insist.

Billy will assure Tara this conversation is off the record, but he’ll hope that Victor won’t hold Ashland to that contract if it was indeed signed under extreme duress.

Tara will insist her sole focus is on Ashland’s recovery and getting him back to their son. Lily will spot the end of this encounter nearby, so she’ll join Billy after Tara saunters off. “What the hell was that about?” Lily will demand to know.

Once Lily’s back up in Billy’s suite, she’ll rant at him for pestering Tara and trying to use this as a way to get Cyaxares. Lily will insist this is becoming an obsession and will get so fed up that she stomps back to her own suite.

Later, Billy will leave a voicemail explaining that he was just about to tell Lily he was wrong and that when she gets this message, she should know he’s been thinking about her all night. In Tara’s suite, she’ll text Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and ask if he’ll meet her first thing in the morning.

At Society, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will wonder what’s up since Victoria summoned him. Victoria will claim to have no ulterior motives, but Nick will quickly realize she wanted someone she could vent to about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Victoria will eventually confess she thought it’d be nice to talk to someone who understood. She’ll talk about going too far back when she targeted Phyllis, but Nick won’t hold it against his sister. Victoria and Nick will show off new pics of the kids on their phones before talk turns back to Victor.

Although Victoria will be adamant about focusing on Newman Enterprises without her father’s interference, Nick will think she’s kidding herself if she believes it’s going to be that easy. Nick won’t think Victor’s just going to walk away.

That said, Nick will understand Victoria’s perspective and will propose a toast: “To new beginnings, to you running the company the way you want and being the person you want to be – and not becoming the thing you’re trying to escape.”

At Crimson Lights, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will find Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) having a cup of coffee later than he normally would. Nate will need to stay up and do research for a patient, so Elena will gush about how dedicated he is.

Nate will think Elena is just as dedicated if not more. He’ll try to wrap up their conversation, but Elena will stop him.

That’ll lead to Elena mentioning a patient named Mrs. Weatherly, who had nowhere to go upon her release.

Elena will talk about getting in touch with Mrs. Weatherly estranged son and explaining the situation, so Nate will once again be impressed with how she goes above and beyond. However, Nate will need to get home to those medical journals, so he’ll head out.

At the ranch, Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will argue about all the Cyaxares drama as well as the feud it’s created with Victoria. Nikki will finally get fed up and announce she’s going to bed before storming out.

Back in Amanda’s suite on Tuesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Devon will discuss something he intends to do for the anniversary of Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) death. He’ll want to create a small imprint label for up-and-coming jazz artists called Winters’ Mood.

The proceeds will help fund the substance abuse treatment program that the Abbott-Winters foundation created in Neil’s name.

Amanda will think that sounds like the perfect way to carry on Neil’s legacy. She’ll show Devon a pic of her own father and reveal what she’s learned about him so far.

Amanda will feel a bit conflicted about dragging Richard’s name through the mud, even if he was a criminal and a blackmailer. After all, Richard isn’t around to defend himself.

Devon will note that he thought the blackmailing thing was just to create reasonable doubt for a jury. He’ll wonder if Amanda actually believes it now.

Amanda will admit that it’s the hypothesis that makes the most sense. Richard made it clear to a Newman employee that he knew incriminating information, but he didn’t release it.

That will suggest to Amanda that Richard was waiting on some kind of payoff. Amanda would rather think of Richard as a hero, but she’ll be trying to look at this situation logically.

Devon will point out that although Amanda doesn’t intend to accuse Victor of anything directly, the implication is that Victor either orchestrated Richard’s death or allowed it to happen. As a result, Devon will warn that Amanda had better be ready for a fight!

Talk will turn to Imani’s text, so Amanda will wonder why her sister would send another threat. Devon will ask if Amanda’s considered the possibility that it was a warning or a prediction. Amanda won’t think so, but she’ll like how Devon has this tendency to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

As far as Amanda’s father goes, Devon will feel like the man who passed his genes down to Amanda must’ve had a pretty decent heart. Before Devon leaves, he’ll let Amanda know that having Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) around won’t interfere with his time getting to know her.

At the ranch again on Tuesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor will talk to one of his minions about the search for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). He’ll get confirmation that there’s been no sign of Adam on the farm in Kansas or near Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) boarding school.

Victor will push his employee to check into Adam’s old Vegas acquaintances and get back to him.

At Society, Nate will chat with Victoria and Nick briefly before Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) greets him from behind the bar. He’ll tease Lola to make sure she’s not going to spring another surprise setup on him. Lola will make it up to Nate with flan and will once again apologize for her matchmaking efforts.

Lola will hope she hasn’t scared Nate away from Society, but Nate will insist it’s the only place he eats besides the nearby sports bar. That’ll lead to Nate finding out that Lola is a baseball fan, so they’ll exchange smiles and continue to enjoy each other’s company.

Lola won’t think Nate will stay single for long since guys like him don’t stay on the bench.

At the coffeehouse, Elena will look glum and text Lola to see if she wants to meet up for a movie. She’ll end up sitting for a while longer before leaving alone. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena and Nate will keep struggling to navigate their friendship, so stay tuned.

Once Nick makes it to The Grand Phoenix, he’ll find Phyllis and wonder why a beautiful woman is drinking wine alone. Nick will pretend he’s a stranger named Don, so Phyllis will ask if he’s there for the insurance convention.

Nick will learn “Linda” owns the hotel, but they’ll end up scolding each other over their bad attempts at roleplay.

In the end, Phyllis and Nick will decide they like who they are now. Nick will remind Phyllis of his love before they head upstairs for some passion. Back with Billy, he’ll open the door to find Lily.

After Lily admits she came for those three little words – “I was wrong” – Billy will also insist Lily was right. Lily will find that hot as she kisses Billy and enters his suite for a proper make-up.
