The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, March 23, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will be in dire condition, but Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will stay right by his side.
We should mention that Y&R will be preempted for NCAA March Madness basketball coverage on Friday, March 19. That’ll be followed by another preemption on Monday, March 22 – and then Y&R will jump right back into the action on Tuesday.
At the hospital, Rey will remain unconscious following his recent collapse. Sharon will let her emotions pour out as she pushes Rey to come back to her and pull through this terrifying ordeal. Although Sharon won’t know what’s going on, she’ll remain convinced it must be quite serious.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will consult with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) on Rey’s case. Nate recently dumped Elena, but their love lives won’t be a factor in their joint effort to help Rey.
Elena and Nate will manage to leave any personal drama at the door, so they’ll be able to focus solely on identifying Rey’s mysterious health problem.
Between Rey’s bloodwork and his medical team’s knowledge, he’ll eventually receive a proper diagnosis. Rey’s suffering from thallium poisoning, so Sharon will get updates and wonder how her husband came into contact with it. This toxic shocker will definitely leave Sharon fearful and confused.
Nate and Elena should inform Sharon that Rey would’ve had to have been intentionally targeted. It’s not like thallium is something most people are exposed to, so the assumption will be that Rey was poisoned on purpose.
Elena and Nate will make sure the GCPD is alerted, so it won’t be long until cops are searching Sharon’s home for proof. Y&R fans can expect evidence to turn up in the form of hair gel, shaving cream and body wash.
Someone went to great lengths to have Rey covered from head to toe in thallium-based substances, so this is troubling indeed! The show has offered plenty of clues that make Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) look guilty.
At this point, it seems likely Chelsea had a partner in crime besides Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) – someone else who snuck in the cottage to put thallium in Rey’s hygiene products as part of the Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) setup.
There’ll be more details to come in Rey’s poisoning mystery, but let’s talk about another hot storyline. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will find himself on the hot seat with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who’ll push his son to come clean about whatever it is he’s hiding.
Deep down, Kyle no doubt wants to tell Jack the truth about Harrison Locke. Will Kyle finally cave in and make a full confession?
There’s a good chance Kyle will confess his affair with Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) wife, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Kyle may admit that Tara confirmed Harrison was his, so this will be some shocking news for Jack to wrap his head around – at least if Kyle indeed comes clean.
Kyle will get a warning about the “Locke-ness Monster” himself on Tuesday’s Y&R episode. Perhaps Jack will think Kyle needs to be careful about how he handles this. Kyle’s keeping some explosive secrets under wraps, so staying on guard is crucial.
It could also be Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) who pushes Kyle’s buttons on the topic again, but the point is Kyle will be warned. The Young and the Restless writers will set up growing concerns about Ashland retaliating after bombs start dropping.
Even so, Jack is a big family man. If Jack finds out Kyle is Harrison’s true father, he’ll surely want Kyle to take a step back and really think this through. Jack may feel like walking away from Harrison forever will be a lot harder than Kyle expects.
