The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the CBS soap recently teased some exciting news. On Twitter, Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway) posted a fun pic along with a caption that got fans talking. Could Johnson be reprising his role as Theo on Y&R? Let’s look at what Johnson had to say in his tweet.
“Okay, I can finally give a little hint… new announcement coming next week!” Johnson said. He clearly seems pumped about what he’ll be able to reveal during the week of April 5-9, but some fans just couldn’t wait that long! After Johnson received tweets begging for another hint, he responded to one of them.
When one Twitter user asked if this announcement was about a movie or a series, Johnson admitted it was about a series. Of course, that leaves the door open for this to potentially be a return to The Young and the Restless.
Theo was a controversial character throughout most of his run, but he gained a lot of fans in the end. It seems like Theo works best as an unapologetic full-blown troublemaker! Johnson did a fantastic job when he briefly reprised his role to let Theo drop the bomb about Harrison Locke’s paternity.
Theo blew into town to deliver the shocker and got to see Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) stunned reaction in person. It was no doubt worth it for Theo, who quickly jetted back to Paris and left Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to take care of the rest.
Now that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) is in the picture, this would be a great time to let Theo get back in the mix, too. Theo would be happy to help Ashland inflict as much damage as possible on Cousin Kyle!
Naturally, Theo could start by making sure Ashland knew the truth about Harrison and go from there.
However, we also have to consider the possibility that Johnson has a brand-new project in the works. The picture Johnson included featured him looking slick and cool on a motorcycle.
That could tie in with some new role that Johnson’s taking on, but that’d certainly be exciting news, too. Fans always like to see Y&R alums succeed after their exits, so we’re rooting for Johnson no matter what!
