The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update spoilers for Tuesday, May 25, teases that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will face off over Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). As for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’ll have some power plays brewing.
First, let’s talk about Chelsea and the charade she has to continue. Chelsea faked a mental breakdown, so it’s important to look unstable – especially while Chelsea’s legal fate remains up in the air.
Of course, that shouldn’t be too hard considering Chelsea is legitimately exhibiting some unstable behavior. Chelsea may not be insane, but she’s certainly more paranoid and volatile than usual.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will keep behaving wildly and hope it helps with her upcoming sentencing.
Adam will make more Newman Media preparations with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as they plan to annihilate ChancComm.
The goal is to get revenge on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) – and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will just have to go down with the sinking ship if their plan pays off.
Despite Adam’s desire to pulverize Billy in the business world, he’ll want to be a better man in his personal life. Adam has expressed remorse over his treatment of Chelsea and feels bad for how his actions affected Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) marriage as well.
What Adam wants to concentrate on now is running the company with Victor and being a great dad to Connor. Y&R fans know Connor is still at boarding school, but he can’t stay there forever.
There’ll come a time when Connor will need to come home – and things are sure to be tough due to the situation with Chelsea.
Victor will help Adam with some tactics on Tuesday’s episode, so they can talk all things Newman Media and perhaps strategize regarding Adam’s son, too. Adam will want to make sure that restraining order goes away now that he’s no longer a criminal on the run.
Since Adam was innocent and granted his freedom, he’ll want to talk to Chelsea about clearing a path to proper fatherhood. It’s more important than ever now that Chelsea’s stuck in a psychiatric facility.
However, Chelsea will rip into Adam when he dares to bring up lifting the restraining order and being in his son’s life again.
Part of Chelsea’s outburst will be because she hates Adam and fears he’ll poison Connor against her. Another part of this meltdown will just be Chelsea’s continued con job. Adam will have pity for struggling Chelsea, but he’ll know his son has to come first right now.
Although Adam would never trash Connor’s mother, he’ll make it clear that he’s going to be there for his boy. That’s non-negotiable! Chelsea isn’t in the position to make any demands at the moment anyway, so whatever Adam says should go.
While Adam and Chelsea face off over Connor, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will earn Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) approval. There’ll be a lesson Mariah reveals she’s learned on her own, so Sharon won’t even have to teach her this one.
Mariah is carrying Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) baby, but that doesn’t mean she has to put her own life on hold. That might be the lesson Mariah’s already learned since she had a lovely date night with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) not too long ago.
