The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of August 16-20 teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will prove he’s the master of disguise – and Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) bait will fail. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will also make a vow to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Genoa City.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has been suffering from a broken heart ever since Summer Newman (Hunter King) opted not to come home.
Although Phyllis is trying to be happy for her daughter, it’s obvious she’s having a tough time with Summer’s new life in Milan.
However, Nick will work to show Phyllis that life can still be good there in GC. He’ll get creative by showing Phyllis all the ways he’s crazy about her – and there’ll indeed be some wild tactics as part of Nick’s plan.
Y&R fans will see Nick don a blonde woman’s wig at one point, so he might even reenact some moment when Phyllis held her own against Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Regardless, Nick will accomplish his goal of offering a sweet pick-me-up to Phyllis, who should appreciate the gesture.
As for Mariah, she’ll freak when her captor doesn’t take the bait. Mariah was hoping that by covering up the hidden camera she found, she’d force her kidnapper to come check on her.
Since no one will come, Mariah will grow increasingly worried. She’ll be going nuts in that small room with only the baby to keep her company!
Speaking of the baby, Mariah will be concerned about potentially having to bring this child into the world by herself.
While Mariah considers what her labor and delivery might look like, Jack will be incredibly grateful to Ashland.
Since Ashland will grant Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) request to live with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) in Italy, Jack will let Ashland know how impressed he is.
Jack will be the one who flies Harrison over to Milan – and it seems Jack will promise Ashland something important when he returns from the trip.
Perhaps Jack will promise that Harrison is adjusting fine with “Skyle” in Italy as well as vow to always watch over his grandson – no matter what Ashland’s treatment outcome is.
Ashland will keep acting like Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has given him the will to live. He’ll encourage Victoria to help him select a wedding day, but this has disaster written all over it.
There have already been some ominous hints about Victoria’s looming marriage to Ashland, but more are on the way.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will think Victoria’s setting herself up for a horrible mistake – maybe even her worst one yet.
It doesn’t look like Victor will give up on the idea that Ashland is faking his terminal illness.
Victor will investigate Ashland’s past, but he’ll also order his resources to figure out where Mariah’s trapped and who might’ve put her there.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah’s ordeal will take a toll on her in more ways than one, so stay tuned!
