The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of July 26-30 teases that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) may manage to get a clue to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) – and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will keep a secret from Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will also be on a Forrester Creations mission, so here’s what viewers can expect.
For starters, fans will see their first glimpse of Mariah in captivity in the week ahead. Mariah is being held hostage in a nice-looking home and isn’t in any kind of restraints.
That’s a relief considering Mariah is pregnant and doesn’t need this ordeal to be any more stressful than it already is.
However, this is still a hostage situation! Y&R spoilers say Mariah will bang on the door and shout for the person holding her to let her out.
Mariah will be locked up tight by someone who won’t want to let her out anytime soon, but she could get a lucky break.
Tessa can tell something’s off, so she sent Mariah a text in hopes of getting a clue from her girlfriend. Of course, Tessa’s request honestly doesn’t make much sense.
If Tessa suspects Mariah’s in trouble and can’t tell them, what makes her think Mariah has access to her phone and can give out hints?
Even so, the writers surely wouldn’t have included that unless Mariah was indeed going to send a clue of some sort.
Mariah may get her hands on the phone long enough to send some word that’ll trigger a bad memory – some warning sign that’ll let Tessa know something’s truly wrong.
Tessa might take Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) up on his offer to trace Mariah’s texts through a specialized app.
That could be a mistake if Stitch is the very person holding Mariah captive – and he certainly could be based on the way Y&R’s told the story so far.
In the meantime, Sharon will hide her true Adam feelings and work to make Rey feel like the center of her world. Sharon will struggle to get Adam out of her head and out of her heart, but she won’t let Rey know that.
Nevertheless, Rey may pick up on a strange vibe from Sharon once he returns home from escorting Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to Minnesota.
Sharon may blame it on Mariah’s disappearance, even if that’s not the whole story!
On the bright side, it really is time to get a detective involved so that Mariah can be tracked down. Maybe Rey will agree with Tessa about this text-only system being awfully weird.
Rey might be the one to declare Mariah a missing person eventually, so stay tuned.
Next, Phyllis will need a backup plan after her trap for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) isn’t enough. Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) mom needs real evidence, so look for Phyllis to go after a new lead.
That lead will involve Forrester Creations and should set the stage for Phyllis to contact Eric Forrester (John McCook) in the coming episodes.
Eric will be back on August 3, but the week of July 26-30 should put all the pieces in place for Phyllis to get in touch.
This is the beginning of the end for Sally, who had Eric pull some strings on that job offer for Summer.
Tara will go down once Sally goes down, so they’d better prepare for Phyllis’ wrath! We’ll pass along updates as other news rolls in.
