The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the all-powerful Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) may have met his match. Ashland seems to think there’s no one who can even come close to rising to his level.
It’s clear that Ashland has a high opinion of himself and thinks he’s entitled to take revenge whenever he sees fit.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) have gone over some horror stories about the vengeful plans Ashland’s carried out in the past.
When Ashland wants payback, The Young and the Restless spoilers say there’s almost nothing that can stop him.
Ashland won’t stop until he annihilates his enemies and crushes everything that matters to them. Nothing is off-limits as far as Ashland is concerned, which is why Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has a good reason to be worried right now.
Kyle isn’t just afraid for himself; he’s afraid for Jabot, Jack and most definitely Summer Newman (Hunter King). If Ashland wants to target Kyle, Jack and Jabot, then he can go right ahead.
However, targeting Summer is something Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) isn’t going to allow – not for long anyway. Victor has a strong bond with his granddaughter and will always do everything he can to protect Summer.
If Ashland throws all his power behind destroying Summer’s world, then Victor will destroy Ashland’s world right back!
There’s nothing more important to Victor than family, so Ashland needs to remember that. That’s especially true right now since the Newman clan just went through such a difficult crisis with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind).
Victor is protective of his children, but it’s his grandchildren who are his real soft spot. That’s why Ashland will be playing with fire when Summer becomes a target through her connection to Kyle.
Ashland will think all’s fair in love and war, but that goes both ways. It’ll be fair for Victor to retaliate and potentially become a fierce ally to Kyle and Jack.
Ahead of whatever Ashland has in store for Summer, he might also back out of making the Cyaxares deal with Victor and on-the-run Adam.
If so, Ashland will already be on Victor’s bad side. It could set the stage for Victor being even more riled when all the Summer mayhem happens.
Whatever the case, Summer’s role in all this seems crucial. Since Ashland will dare to hurt Summer, Victor may take steps to show his new rival who’s boss! Ashland is on Victor’s turf in Genoa city, so he’d better beware.
