The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, December 22, tease that Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor takeover will upset Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) mulls over some new baby options.
For starters, Chance will continue to battle doubts about his ability to be a good husband and father. He’s already been struggling, but his concerns will intensify once he spots a special moment between Devon and Dominic.
It’ll remind Chance of the time he missed out on – time that Devon used to bond with his biological son.
Chance holds the official dad title now, but that doesn’t change the pull Devon feels to his flesh and blood.
After Chance witnesses Devon in daddy mode, he may be jealous in some ways and just plain sad in others.
Chance will feel like less of a father than Devon at this point, so he may wonder if he really belongs in the role.
Parenthood will remain on Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) mind as well, so she’ll catch Mariah off guard by bringing up the baby idea again.
Tessa will want to know if adoption is on the table or if Mariah’s preference is for a biological child.
Mariah will realize Tessa’s going all in when it comes to family planning, so she’ll be a tad worried at first.
There’ll be some fears about Tessa perhaps doing this out of pity for Mariah, but Tessa will admit she’s truly interested after much deliberation. Once Mariah is convinced, they can focus on the next steps.
While Mariah and Tessa discuss their journey to having a baby, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will come home with a goal.
Traci will want to deliver some gifts and pass along the Christmas spirit, so she’ll happily accept Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) assistance on that.
