The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, May 19 Recap – Ashland Threatens Cops Over Kidnapper Tara – Billy’s Adam Attack Plan

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 19, reveals that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will threaten to call the cops over kidnapper Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). As for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), he’ll form an Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) attack plan. There’s a lot to talk about, so here’s what to expect on Wednesday’s thrilling show.

In Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) suite, Ashland will demand to know where Tara and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) are. He’ll point out that Kyle slept with his wife and push Kyle not to make things worse by protecting Tara now.

Ashland will still be able to smell Tara’s perfume in the room, but Kyle will lie that hasn’t seen Tara since she left GC with Ashland.

Kyle will suggest he’s sorry Ashland’s having trouble finding his family, but he’ll ask if it’d occurred to Ashland that they didn’t want to be found.

Summer will back Kyle up on his lie about Tara and Harrison, so Ashland will note that Summer is clearly OK with what “the philanderer” did. He’ll hope Summer realizes this doesn’t bode well for her future, but she won’t think that’s any of Ashland’s business.

Ashland will keep demanding answers, but Kyle will ultimately convince him to leave. “You’re going to regret lying to me,” Ashland will warn before Kyle slams the door in his face.

The door slam will be impressive and hot to Summer, but she’ll still wonder what Kyle was thinking. Kyle will argue that Ashland needed a wakeup call and will text Tara to let her know that Ashland is in town.

Tara will call back frantic over Ashland catching up with her so soon. She’ll push Kyle to help her since she can’t lose her baby boy. Kyle will promise to be in touch before he hangs up and turns his attention to Summer.

He’ll admit that he needs to protect his son – and the only way Kyle will know to do that is to go public with the affair and claim paternity.

Summer will be upset about Kyle deciding this without a discussion, but Kyle will argue that Ashland decided it for him. Now that Ashland knows about the affair, Kyle will contend that all bets are off.

Summer really won’t think Ashland’s going to take Harrison’s mother from him away just to get revenge, but Kyle won’t be so sure.

However, Summer will want Kyle to pump the brakes and think about what he’s doing. She’ll feel like Ashland could retaliate in a big way if Kyle publicly admits to being Harrison’s father.

Down in the lobby, Ashland will harass the woman at the front desk about doing what he asks or finding someone who will. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will wonder if there’s a problem, so Ashland will counter that there won’t be as long as he gets what he wants.

“Otherwise, you’ll have to consider a new line of work…because this hotel will be history,” Ashland will insist.

Phyllis will push Ashland to tell her what he wants before they go dishing out threats. Ashland will push for the guest list for every person who’s checked in within the last 24 hours. He’ll explain that he has reason to believe his wife checked in with their son – perhaps under an assumed name.

Phyllis will refuse to hand over that list, so Ashland will suggest he could bring the cops into it since Phyllis is harboring a kidnapper. He’ll argue that it makes Phyllis an accessory.

Phyllis will counter that the police would be more interested in how Ashland’s trying to blackmail her into giving up her guests’ personal info without their consent.

Back in Kyle’s suite, Tara will show up and want the scoop on Kyle’s fight with Ashland. She’ll be sorry when she learns Summer got dragged into the drama since this isn’t her fight. “You’re right. It’s yours,” Summer will snap before looking at a text from Phyllis.

It’ll let Summer know that Ashland was downstairs searching for Tara and threatening to call the police.

After Summer relays what was in the text, Tara will fly into panic mode again. Kyle will promise they’re not going to lose as Tara tries to accept his comforting words. As for Summer, she’ll look uneasy as she stands nearby.

At Society, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will arrive and worry she’s so late that she’d missed the whole engagement party. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will explain that it was canceled, so Tessa and Mariah will have a date night instead.

They’ll invite Abby to join, but she won’t want to be a third wheel and will seem glum as she leaves alone.

Tessa will make some pics of Mariah on her phone to document her pregnancy journey and will suggest giving Abby an album for Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) video diary.

Mariah will think Abby’s missing Chance terribly despite the brave face she’s putting on. Tessa and Mariah will agree it’s best not to offer any reminders of what Abby’s missing right now.

After dinner on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Tessa will surprise Mariah by pulling out a key card for a suite at The Grand Phoenix. She’ll let Mariah know she booked some massages as well, so they’ll land at the hotel to let Tessa continue pampering Mariah for the evening.

At ChancComm, Billy will talk to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about his plans to watch the kids while Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is in St. Louis. Billy will point out that before you know it, they’re all grown up and there’s no one to play board games with.

Lily will tease Billy about playing games – and she’ll be sure he’ll like her rules since Billy will be punished if he doesn’t follow them. Billy and Lily will continue their flirty discussion until Victoria interrupts.

Victoria will explain that she wrapped up her deal in St. Louis sooner than planned, so Billy’s off the hook on looking after the children.

Talk will turn to Adam and how the Newmans are all indebted to him due to his kidney sacrifice for Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). Victoria will suggest that’s true, but she’ll add that some of them would be sleeping with one eye open!

Victoria will also mention that she saw Ashland’s private jet while she was at the airport. She’ll wonder if Lily and Billy have any idea why Ashland is in town.

Billy will guess that maybe it’s to meet with Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so Victoria will hope Ashland makes them miserable from his seat on the board of directors.

Although Victoria will still be “mad as hell” about how all the Cyaxares drama went down, she’ll intend to channel it into her work. Afterward, Victoria will spot Abby at Crimson Lights and sense that something’s troubling her.

Abby will admit the only things that are wrong are that Chance isn’t home and the baby isn’t there yet.

Although Abby will try to be optimistic and embrace all the good things in her life, she’ll still feel like her life’s on hold. Victoria will offer sympathy as well as a pep talk about the better days ahead.

After Victoria gets updates on Tara’s engagement party interruption, she’ll suggest having dinner with Abby at Society and send her on ahead. Once alone, Victoria will look rather intrigued.

When Victoria arrives to find Ashland at Society’s bar, Ashland will invite her to have a drink with him. Since Abby won’t be there yet, Victoria will agree – but she’ll point out that Ashland’s buying since he dashed her Cyaxares dreams.

Ashland will note that Victoria drives a hard bargain, so she’ll get a bit flirty as she suggests he has no idea.

Back with Lily, she’ll be surprised over the way Billy stuck to the facts in the story he sent her about Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Normally, Billy would push the envelope to see how much he could get away with.

Billy will admit there’s a reason he didn’t since there’s a good chance Victor and Adam will indeed use Cyaxares to go after ChancComm. A war could be brewing – and if Victor wins, he’ll make sure they end up with nothing.

Billy will hint about a more aggressive plan to fight back, so Lily will roll her eyes and assume she’s not going to like it.

Nevertheless, Billy will assure Lily that the idea will go in the trash if she doesn’t approve. He’ll think they should undermine Cyaxares during the transition period and make sure the public doesn’t trust anything they publish or why.

Lily will catch Billy off guard by agreeing with him. She’ll argue that she’d feel the same way about any threat – even if it were coming from Victoria at Newman Enterprises.

Billy will think it’s convenient for Lily to reach into her little bag of tricks and pull out Victoria’s name. However, Billy will ultimately shut down the brainstorming session and smile over a surprise he has in store for Lily elsewhere.
