The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of August 23-27 teases that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will demand the kidnapper’s punishment – and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will reveal his top suspect to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
In captivity, Mariah will start to feel a few uncomfortable twinges and grow concerned.
Mariah will keep talking to Baby Bowie – mostly to keep herself calm and hold out hope for a rescue before things get worse. Unfortunately, Mariah will deal with more pain and will quickly fear she’s in labor.
Y&R fans know Mariah covered up the camera that the captor installed in an effort to draw him out.
That didn’t work, but Mariah will try to use that camera to her advantage now. She’ll uncover the camera and show the snatcher that she’s in distress.
Mariah will hope this leads to help arriving so she doesn’t have to give birth by herself without any supplies or support.
Meanwhile, Sharon will battle anger over this whole situation. She’ll want the kidnapper to pay the price for what he’s put everyone through, especially poor Mariah.
Sharon’s priority will be getting Mariah home safe and sound, but she’ll certainly want the person responsible for this mess locked up tight.
Devon put his PI on the case, so Denise Tolliver (Telma Hopkins) should come back with some useful information.
It looks like Devon will take that info to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who’s been using his own resources to try and find Mariah.
It couldn’t hurt to go over any leads so far and see where they stand.
Devon will have a terrible hunch about what’s going on when he pays Victor a visit. He’ll divulge his suspicions, so could Devon point the finger at Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan)?
Based on what Denise finds and how odd Stitch has been acting, Devon may think they need to take a closer look at the doc.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will take a step forward in the investigation thanks to a tip Stitch offers, but the glitchy surveillance footage it leads to won’t be all that helpful.
As for Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) the IT team he has backing him up, they’ll come through for Rey with the whereabouts of Mariah’s phone.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will brainstorm and come up with a plan to bring Mariah home along with the baby.
The fact that Abby will by flying solo on this suggests she might figure out Stitch is to blame and have to play it by ear.
Abby may be alone with Stitch and worry about what he’ll do if she flat-out confronts him. Some trickery should be needed, but Abby will feel like she has to handle things herself in this tense moment.
Back with Devon, he’ll make a discovery that rocks him to the core. That could involve proof of Stitch’s guilt if he’s indeed to blame as expected.
Of course, it’s also possible Devon will find Mariah – perhaps in the nick of time since Baby Bowie will be coming any minute!
On another note, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will have a stern warning for her husband.
Nikki will feel like it’s a bad idea to dig into Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) past since it could damage his relationship with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) again.
Nikki won’t think it’s wise to make Victoria feel like she’s being judged or like someone’s second-guessing her decision.
Nevertheless, Victor will feel like he has a responsibility to protect his daughter and will continue to snoop for now.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will do the same, but Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will seem annoyed since he can never seem to butt out when it comes to Victoria.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will decide to take the high road and ignore Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) latest round of pettiness.
Sally will be impressed when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) suggests that plan, but she may have a change of heart once she sees the potential for payback.
Sally will watch Phyllis with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and eavesdrop if possible.
We have to be realistic here and point out that if a chance at revenge pops up for Sally, she’s definitely going to take it!
Sally would love to expose any cheating if it happens or do anything else that’d blow up Phyllis’ world.
Finally, it seems Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) will pass the boyfriend test. Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will quiz Moses on a few things and will likely be impressed by his answers.
Although Faith may warn Moses that the Newman family can be a bit of a mess, he won’t be scared off and will look forward to falling even harder.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah’s storyline will be the biggie in the week ahead, but there’ll be some other hot plots featured for even more excitement.
