The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of August 30-September 3 tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will face a post-birth scare of some sort while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) gets humiliated. Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will also do a secret swap, so here’s what the CBS soap has coming up.
First, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will support Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) in a time of crisis. That could mean there’ll be some complications with Baby Bowie’s birth that leave Abby shaken up.
Mariah will be eager to reunite with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), but she’ll also find herself haunted by her history later. It’s clear that everything won’t be wrapped up neat and tidy when it comes to this baby storyline, so stay tuned for more drama!
In the meantime, Victor will doubt that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) intentions are pure. He’ll want Billy to back off his Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) investigation as a result, but Billy’s bound to keep digging anyway.
As for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), she’ll have a showdown with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will end up on the receiving end of Victoria’s wrath as well, so Victoria will just want everyone to butt out and let her plan her wedding in peace.
Of course, Ashland obviously has some skeletons in his closet that are going to come to light soon, but Victoria will try to ignore any troubling clues that come along.
Elsewhere, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will mull over a new job. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) urged Lily to consider Elena as the new face of Ask MD Now, but Elena is already dealing with total exhaustion from extra shifts at the hospital.
There’s no way Elena can possibly add this job without a change in her schedule, so she might consider focusing solely on the Ask MD Now gig.
Then again, Elena might cave in and let Nate give her special treatment after all. If Elena could cut out some or all of the extra shifts, then there’d be time to squeeze this spokesperson position in.
Nate and Elena will also enjoy a romantic evening – complete with dancing and some warm moments.
Back with Lily, she’ll have some hotel room fun with Billy. It sounds like a one-night staycation is on the way, but Billy will land in a compromising situation that could unsettle Lily later.
As for Sally, she’ll waltz in the Newman Media launch party on Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) arm. All the other guests will definitely be taken aback at the sight of this new Y&R duo.
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll reassure Nick that he’s the man she wants, not Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Nick will bring up Sally’s comment about Phyllis always being around Jack lately, so that’ll rattle him a bit and leave Phyllis fuming over Sally planting ideas.
Phyllis will convince Nick she’s devoted for now, but she’ll still want to give Sally a piece of her mind.
Sally and Phyllis will argue at the Newman Media launch bash, so that’ll give Phyllis a chance to get revenge. Phyllis will pour an ice bucket on Sally’s head and savor her public embarrassment.
Adam and Victor will speak about their plans for the company at this big event, but their working relationship could take another hit soon.
Victor won’t approve of Adam and Sally’s connection, so that could take a toll on his bond with his dad.
Ashland also has some form of a setback coming up, so we’ll see if that’s related to his condition or his buried secrets.
Finally, Amanda and Devon will grow closer after they exchange secrets. It’ll bring an opportunity to get vulnerable and deepen the love between them.
