The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of October 4-8 teases that Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) worst secret will be exposed, but Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will fear she must wed anyway. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) trickery will also win, so let’s talk about what’s ahead.
After vowing to confess the unvarnished truth later, Ashland will sell Victoria on the idea of flying to Tuscany first.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be livid over what he views as manipulation, but Ashland will praise Victoria for being open-minded and push Nick to keep his mouth shut about the Bobby DeFranco details.
Once the flight’s over, it’ll be time for Ashland to face the music. Ashland will come clean about committing a crime that allowed him to purchase those two news stations in Toms River.
Ashland went on to become an extremely successful media mogul, but that never would’ve happened without this stolen money.
It looks like Ashland changed Camilla Rhodes’ will with the help of Jesse Gaines Jr.’s (Jamison Jones) attorney father. That led to the younger Gaines’ blackmail later and forced Ashland to pay for many years to keep him quiet.
Victoria will flip out over Ashland keeping a secret so monumental from his wife-to-be.
That’s especially true since it pertains to Ashland’s finances. Victoria no doubt would’ve passed on doing business with Ashland if she’d known that story from the get-go.
Nevertheless, what’s done is done. Victoria will tell Nikki all about Ashland’s lawbreaking and rile her mom up, too.
Nikki will expect Victoria to dump Ashland, so she’ll encourage a split and contend that she can take care of all the cancelations.
Nikki won’t want Victoria to worry about anything except distancing herself from Ashland, but that’s not what Victoria will have in mind.
Victoria will think she has to go through with the wedding for the merger’s sake – and Victor will seemingly agree when he has a little private chat with his daughter.
Back with Nikki, she’ll push Ashland to do what’s right and take himself out of the equation. Nikki will realize Victoria wants to cancel the wedding deep down, but she won’t be able to get through to her.
Despite the pressure Nikki puts on him, Ashland will want to stand up in front of all their guests and become Victoria’s husband.
Nikki will go to Victor next and will get the feeling he supports this wedding for the wrong reasons now. There’ll be a big “Niktor” argument as the nuptials inch closer and closer.
In Genoa City, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will have another baby-related outburst and force Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) to be the voice of reason.
After Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) helps Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor take care of slightly sick Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor, Mariah will fret over him and may feel like the odd woman out.
Tessa will hope to make Mariah see there’s no reason to be alarmed, but Mariah will struggle to let her fears go.
Mariah will have a surprise in store for Tessa later, so we’ll see if that involves another crisis or perhaps something romantic to make up for all the drama lately.
As for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), they’ll cover for a pal in a tight spot. Whether that’s Ashland or someone else, Elena and Nate will come through.
Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) was also invited to attend the wedding, so he’ll return in recast form and catch up with his family.
At ChancComm, Billy will keep working to bring Ashland down – and he’ll take some bold steps based on some incriminating info that lands right in his path.
Y&R spoilers hint that Victor will work against Billy for the merger’s sake, but Billy will remain determined to spread the word about Ashland stealing all his old mentor’s money.
Billy will have the proof he needs, but there’s no guarantee Victoria will listen when it comes to backing out of the wedding – at least not yet!
Thanks to Sally’s fierce determination and a trick or two, Victoria should end up walking down the aisle in the talented redhead’s latest design.
