In tonight’s 9-1-1 Lone Star episode, a wilderness guru is videoing his daily stays in the woods. He sees a lizard and tries to stab it, he ends up stabbing himself. The lizard goes into his wound. He calls 911, screaming. The team arrives. Tommy works to get the lizard out. They bag it after helping Ron and his wound. He insists they video tape the end of his rescue.

Owen sits with his therapist. He shares he is angry all the time lately. His therapist suggest EMDR. Owen goes through the process. He reveals some of his worries; a spot on his lung, his son in the hospital, clowns. The therapist really focuses in on the clown aspect. Owen thinks this is silly. He isn’t afraid of clowns.

A man calls for help. He is trapped in a smoky building. He doesn’t have his address. Dispatcher Dave locates him and tries to help him find a safe place to go. He locates gym. Help is on the way. Dave tells him to stay low on the floor. Use towels and water nearby to cover his mouth and the door entrance.

The fire still comes in. He is on the fifth floor. He thanks Dave for helping but knows he isn’t gong to make it. Dave id devastated but holds it together on the line. The man hangs up. The team is solemn as well as Dave. Later, Grace invites Dave to dinner. She doesn’t want him to be alone.

Carlos is grossed out when Tyler brings home the lizard he collected earlier. At dinner, Jud shares how he once felt like he failed someone who needed help when Dave shares how he feels like he killed a father of two. Dave thanks them and then cuts lose a little. He would love a tipple. Jud doesn’t really know what this is.

In the morning, Grace Wales to Dave still at her home. He is making her tea while holding her baby. The baby is calm. He gave the baby antacid. It seems to have helped. He explains Jud had him stay and then invited him to stay for the week since he has plumbing issues.

Throughout the week, Dave uses all of the hot water and dominates the kitchen. Grace does her best to be patient. Meanwhile, a clown at a birthday party falls through a jungle gym. They call 9-1-1.

Owen learns quickly when the team arrives on the call that he is in fact scared of clowns. Tommy covers for him. The woman who was throwing the party for her son who called about the clown quickly learns that the clown is actually her ex-husband. It was his first time missing his son’s party so he pretended to be a professional clown to get the job.

Tyler realizes at home that the lizard is not in his cage. He sees it sitting right next to Carlos and attempts to grab it but the lizard is too fast. Carlos freaks out. Meanwhile, Grace is at Tommy’s venting about Dave. Tommy tells her to get Dave out, very politely. Jud shows up. Grace tells him they need to go home and tell Dave he needs to go. When they arrive home, they learned their baby walked for the first time. Dave captured it though on video. They watch the video and see that in his excitement he recorded his reaction. The iPhone camera wasn’t flipped around. That night, Jud tells Grace he knows Dave needs to go.

Owen returns to therapy and admits he knows why he doesn’t like clowns. In a round about way it goes back to his dad, he hasn’t had a relationship with him since he was 12. He decides to find him.

Grace gets the courage to tell Dave he needs to go back home but before she can Dave tells her he needs to return to his house. He loves them but feels smothered. Meanwhile, Carlos finds the lizard. Tyler comes home thinking they were robbed.
