Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, August 19, reveals that Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) locket brought Rachel Black’s (Finley Rose Slater) wish while Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) slammed Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) for stealing Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). Here’s how all the DOOL drama went down.
First Friday’s Days episode, Gabi called Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) to see if he’d join her for lunch outside.
Li had to pass due to a meeting, but that gave Gabi a chance to speak with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) when he appeared on his run.
Johnny apologized since he’d been told the horrible things he did while possessed.
Although Johnny was especially sorry for breaking up Gabi and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), Gabi acted like the real issue was that she was trying to turn him into someone else.
Next, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) took Rachel to Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) office now that she was back from her trip.
Rachel hugged Marlena before listening to music on her headphones, which allowed Brady to speak with Marlena about Kristen.
Although Brady was wary of Kristen spending time with Rachel, he knew she loved her daughter.
Brady couldn’t risk Kristen going after full custody, so he was willing to let her see Rachel.
Meanwhile, Kristen warned Chloe that she wouldn’t get paid for the three weeks of worth she did on the marina deal.
Despite previously asking for more details, now Kristen wanted an easy-to-read version that was 20 pages.
Chloe lashed out, so Kristen contemplated slapping her before picking up a letter opener.
After Kristen threatened to stake Chloe through the heart, Chloe wondered if she was really going to commit murder right there in the office.
Brady called to set up a visit with Rachel, so Kristen opted to leave Chloe’s heart intact.
Even so, Chloe was fuming and soon cornered Gabi in her office to complain about the murder threat.
Gabi brushed it off since Chloe was still standing there and insisted her hands were tied when it came to Kristen.
As Chloe got agitated, she brought up her past with Stefan and how she was happy with him – that is until Gabi swooped in and blew things up.
Gabi became visibly upset, so Chloe felt guilty and apologized for going too far.
After Chloe admitted Gabi and Stefan were meant to be, Gabi pointed out that was only true until Stefan died.
In Li’s suite, he got a visit from an angry Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton), who accused him of trying to kill Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) son.
Li acted like it was a momentary lapse in judgment and pushed Dr. Rolf to manipulate Stefan’s memory instead.
Dr. Rolf had already heard about the brainwashing plot from Kristen, but he felt this was a bit out of his wheelhouse.
Plus, there was no guarantee Chloe would reciprocate Stefan’s feelings if he made Stefan fall for her.
Li argued that Dr. Rolf was a genius and could basically do anything.
As for whether Chloe would feel the same, Li didn’t care and felt that was Kristen’s problem. All Li wanted was to make sure Stefan stayed away from Gabi.
Dr. Rolf decided he would do his best to make this happen, so Li was pleased.
Right when Dr. Rolf was about to exit, Gabi arrived. That left Gabi with questions about Li’s meeting with Dr. Rolf and what they were up to.
Back with Brady, he asked Marlena if she thought Rachel could use a child psychologist.
Kristen overheard and argued that Rachel needed her mother, not a therapist.
Once Rachel embraced Kristen excitedly, she opened a present from her mom. I
t was a locket that had Brady’s picture along with one of Kristen holding Rachel when she was a baby.
Kristen said it was from when they used to be a family, so Brady seethed and sent Rachel off with Marlena.
Brady then confronted Kristen about filling Rachel’s head with ideas, but Kristen suggested they could still be a family someday.
After Brady vowed it would never happen, Kristen wondered about her next visit with Rachel.
Brady argued that Kristen could see her when she put Rachel first and acted like the mother their daughter needed.
Later, Marlena pushed Kristen to accept that Brady was with Chloe now.
Back at Basic Black, Rachel was busy showing her locket to Chloe and wishing she could be a family with her mommy and daddy again.
At the DiMera mansion on Friday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) threatened to rat Ava DiMera (Tamara Braun) out for helping Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) escape. To prevent that, EJ wanted Ava to sign over Jake’s shares.
Johnny walked in on a tense moment and questioned EJ once Ava headed up to her room.
EJ noted it was suspicious for Ava to marry Jake on the same day he got shot and clearly didn’t trust her.
Once Johnny went upstairs, he comforted Ava since EJ had been insensitive. Ava opened up about feeling alone before Johnny held her close – giving EJ a glimpse of their hug from the doorway.
