Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, January 10 Recap – Lani Rescues Paulina - Johnny’s Murder Attempt Fails

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, January 10, reveals that Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) rescued Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) from a falling chandelier, so possessed Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) murder attempt failed. Here’s how all the DOOL action went down on Monday’s thrilling episode.

At the DiMera mansion, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) wondered if this was some sort of joke.

Chanel was baffled over Johnny’s sudden decision to dump her, but Johnny insisted he was determined to undo a mistake he made.

Chanel felt like she was going to be sick, but Johnny maintained that he needed his freedom.

When Chanel asked what Johnny was saying, he declared that it was over and that he wanted a divorce.

Chanel ranted about Johnny breaking her heart and making a fool out of her, but Johnny urged her not to feel foolish.

Johnny suggested that Chanel was simply a trusting person who wanted to believe in his love.

Johnny hoped that in time, they could become friends – maybe even friends with benefits. That left Paulina and Lani furious as Chanel continued to reel over Johnny’s news.

Chanel asked who he was and what he’d done with her Giovanni!

Chanel determined that if Johnny could just turn on a dime like this, then he was the last man she’d want to be married to.

“You can go straight to hell, Johnny DiMera,” Chanel snapped. She eventually ran out, so Allie took off after her.

Paulina warned that Johnny wouldn’t get away with humiliating her daughter like this, but Johnny felt like he just did.

Johnny was being so cavalier about the whole thing that Paulina seemed ready to attack and reached out to grab him as he headed upstairs.

The devil made the chandelier crash down from the ceiling, but Lani called out to warn “Mom” and dove to save her.

After Lani saved Paulina from being crushed by the light fixture, she put some ice on Paulina’s twisted ankle.

Paulina wanted to find her brokenhearted baby girl instead of going to the hospital, but Lani convinced her to let Allie take care of Chanel.

In the meantime, Lani intended to take care of Paulina.

At the hospital on Monday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) thought maybe Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) was sick because of something she ate or due to a stomach virus.

Susan was stuck on the idea that it was connected to her premonition and had a bad feeling the devil wasn’t done yet.

Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) assured Susan that the devil’s days in Salem were over, but Susan continued to feel sick.

Susan wound up breaking a glass right as the chandelier incident happened and felt like something else must’ve broken at the same time.

Tripp eventually gave permission for Susan to leave since her lab results were all clear.

After Marlena dropped Susan off at the DiMera mansion, she took in the aftermath of the chandelier scene and headed upstairs.

Meanwhile, EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) confronted Johnny about breaking things off with Chanel in such a cold and cruel way – though he did admit there was a certain aspect of bravery to it.

Since Johnny made a comment about God punishing Paulina for taking his name in vain, EJ wondered when his son suddenly got so religious.

Johnny denied it and acted like he disapproved of the scary way Paulina came after him.

Johnny also suggested EJ was right about Chanel mostly being after his money and appreciated how EJ was looking out for his boy.

After EJ left, Susan appeared and made it clear that she knew Johnny wasn’t her sweet grandson anymore!

At the pub on Monday’s Days episode, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) played poker with John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who wasn’t convinced that Abe was really done with Paulina.

However, Abe felt he couldn’t trust his Paulina after all her lies and ultimately suggested he had to know when to fold.

Back at the hospital, Paulina waited for a doctor in an exam room with Lani.

Paulina was grateful to Lani for saving her life and noted that Lani called her “Mom” when she warned her to look out.

At Paulina’s apartment, Chanel thought back to Johnny first giving her his phone number. She called Johnny a “son of a bitch” before removing her wedding ring and slamming it on the table.

Allie arrived moments later and comforted Chanel with a warm hug.

Allie insisted Johnny didn’t deserve Chanel and felt confident her bestie would still find her person.

Once they were in the bedroom, Allie convinced Chanel to get ready for bed and unzipped her dress for her.

Chanel donned her nightgown and sat on the bed with Allie. They reflected on how things were in London as Chanel said it was them against the world.

Allie echoed the idea before Chanel planted a steamy kiss on her.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Allie and Chanel are really about to heat things up, so stay tuned to DOOL!
