Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, October 31, reveals that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) made an angry announcement while EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) weak spot was discovered. Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) also won big for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), so here’s how all the DOOL drama played out.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) insisted she knew EJ was in terrible danger because of a premonition. This premonition came after Susan put on the clown costume, so EJ admitted he saw someone with a knife wearing that same costume.
However, EJ suspected Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was the one out to get him. Susan got updates on Johnny’s interest in Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and how he disapproved of how EJ’s treatment of her.
Once Susan reached out to the spirits and saw how restless they were, she determined that the threat wanted to do more than just scare EJ. This was about making EJ suffer!
In the DiMera crypt, Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) urged Ava to ditch her Seattle plans and embrace her true self. Charlie knew Ava wouldn’t be satisfied until she got revenge on EJ and felt confident that she would find EJ’s Achilles’ heel.
After Charlie hinted that a boy’s best friend was his mother, Ava spied on EJ and Susan through the mansion’s French doors – clearly figuring out Susan could be a weak spot. Once Ava texted Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) to call off her Seattle trip, she revealed she had something else to do.
At Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) place, Alex answered the door and gave Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) some candy since she was trick-or-treating with Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).
Alex also gave Maggie the file he stole from Sloan’s cabinet, warned her not to open it and vowed to explain later. Once Alex turned his attention back to Sloan, he made up a Titan-related excuse to get out of sleeping with her and said her surprise would have to wait.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) provoked Xander over his unpaid bills, but Sarah Cook (Linsey Godfrey) rushed to her husband’s defense.
Sarah brought up Xander’s new job at The Spectator, so he had to admit that plan fell through. Victor eventually started taunting Xander again about not even being able to put a roof over his wife’s head.
Xander decided he’d had enough and declared that they were moving out. Victor tried to play innocent when Maggie came home, but she could tell he’d been pushing Xander’s buttons.
Maggie tried to convince Sarah and Xander to stay, but Xander was adamant that they’d figure out some other place to live. Sarah seemed concerned, but she ultimately went along with Xander’s decision and left with him.
At the Horton house, Stephanie felt bad for bringing Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) aboard a sinking ship, especially after he admitted to turning down EJ’s job offer.
Nevertheless, Chad wanted to help keep that sinking ship afloat since he really enjoyed working with Stephanie. After Chad and Stephanie shared a laugh over candy, Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) came running downstairs with Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) following a nightmare.
Charlotte and Thomas were curious about who Stephanie was, so Chad explained that she was Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) cousin.
Stephanie then told a story about when Abigail helped her as a little girl following a nightmare. Abigail suggested playing her favorite song, so Charlotte wanted Stephanie to come listen to her favorite song, too.
Stephanie went upstairs with the kids and calmed Charlotte down before returning to Chad. That led to another bonding moment between Chad and Stephanie before she headed out.
After Alex picked up the incriminating file from Maggie, he found Stephanie at the hospital. Alex handed over the file and left Stephanie amazed, so they also exchanged a sweet look as she expressed her gratitude.
