Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 18, reveals that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) pulled a gun on Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) while Duke the teddy bear sought his revenge in a dream. Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) also delivered a Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) mask shocker after getting a shocking delivery of her own. Here’s how all Tuesday’s DOOL mayhem went down.
After making love to Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) in their suite, Gwen heard someone at the door and opened it to find Sarah. When she asked what Sarah was doing there, Sarah had a stunning response.
“You know what I’m doing here, bitch. I came to take back my man,” Sarah insisted on Tuesday’s Days episode.
Xander took Sarah in his arms and kissed her passionately, but Gwen woke up in a panic moments later.
Next, it was Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) at the door with a lead on the missing person case. She clarified that she’d found Ned Grainger (Chris Kalhoon) the DiMera pilot, not Sarah herself.
However, Abigail was hoping to find out more at her upcoming meeting with Ned, which Xander wanted to join.
While Xander was getting dressed, Gwen accused Abigail of enjoying this.
Gwen remained convinced that Abigail wanted to reunite Xander with Sarah – that way Abby could get back at her half-sister and rob Gwen of happiness.
Abigail denied that and argued this was about doing the favor Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) asked of her.
Abigail also saw the potential for a good news story, but Gwen couldn’t get past the idea that this was about revenge.
Meanwhile, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was taken aback when Kristen arrived on his doorstep.
Kristen told Brady she was going to do to him what she did to Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). She insisted that Brady cut her heart out, so now she was going to cut Brady’s out, too.
Right after Kristen lunged a knife at Brady’s chest, he woke up startled and realized it was a nightmare.
As for Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), she had another steamy dream about Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) taking her right there on the Basic Black conference table.
At the Hernandez house, Ava freaked as a giant version of Duke the teddy bear came after her. Duke had some scissors and vowed to cut Ava’s head off like she’d done to him.
Ava tried to arm herself with a nail file, which she was still clutching when she woke up to find Rafe in the bedroom.
Rafe also mentioned that Ava was growling in her sleep, but she brushed off the bad dream and turned down the bear claw he brought her.
Talk eventually turned to the complaints against Rafe at the Salem PD, so Ava was quick to insist she wasn’t behind them.
That left Rafe a bit suspicious, but Ava pointed out that he already accused her of beheading Duke.
Ava lied that Rafe and Nicole were the two people she trusted most, so she had no reason to target them.
Ava wound up getting frisky with Rafe, who finally insisted he had to head to work. Before Rafe left, he mentioned that a package had arrived for Ava – though he didn’t know what was inside.
In Italy, “Sister Mary Elizabeth” aka Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) had a dream about having impure thoughts for “Father Nichols” aka Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols).
“Sister Mary Elizabeth” made out with “Father Nichols” before Kayla woke up from her nap and mentioned the spicy food from earlier affecting her dreams.
Steve urged Kayla to put her nun disguise on since Mother Superior (Ellen Crawford) found a place for “Sister Mary Elizabeth” at the convent.
However, Steve only wanted Kayla to look for evidence of Kristen’s presence there and made her promise not to confront Kristen directly.
At the convent, Kristen feigned excitement over “Sister Mary Elizabeth” joining them and acted like she was perfectly happy to help prepare the way for her.
Kristen secretly looked in her Bible, which was hollowed out to make room for her gun.
After Steve dropped Kayla off on Tuesday’s Days episode, she got to work rummaging around for Kristen clues.
It wasn’t long until Mother Superior returned and caught Kayla red-handed.
Back at the hotel, Steve left the door open while he was on the phone hoping Kayla would be OK. Kristen popped up behind Steve and announced that Kayla would be just fine.
Kristen said Steve was the one who needed to pay for absolution. Kristen held a gun on Steve as she insisted it was time for his last rites.
At Basic Black, Brady found a distracted Nicole and knew she must be thinking about what happened on the conference table.
They discussed their recent dreams before Brady pushed Nicole to come to terms with how she felt about Rafe.
Nicole was confused about what she wanted, but she didn’t like the idea of coming between what Ava and Rafe had.
Once Nicole was alone, she became fed up with the conference table and tried to move it out of there. Rafe walked in and noticed what Nicole was doing soon after.
At the pub, Abigail and Xander met with Ned Grainger, the former DiMera pilot who potentially had Sarah on a flight last March.
Abigail held up Sarah’s picture and wondered if Ned remembered flying this woman on a DiMera jet.
Back in Gwen’s hotel suite, she was in panic mode over Sarah possibly being discovered.
Gwen called Ava and got her voicemail, so she demanded that Ava call her back.
After another knock at the door, Gwen opened it and was shocked to see “Sarah” – though Days of Our Lives spoilers tell us this is actually Ava wearing a mask that Kristen sent her.
It sounds like some wild Sarah action is still to come on the NBC soap.
