Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, September 27 Recap – EJ Shoots Clyde, Rescues Chad – Jennifer’s Car Speeds Toward Gwen

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 27, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) shot Clyde Weston (James Read) and rescued Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Jennifer Deveraux’s (Cady McClain) car also sped toward Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), so here’s how all the DOOL drama went down.

At the Horton house, Jennifer popped a pill before hiding her pill bottle as Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) entered.

Jack admitted he paid Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) a visit at the police station and believed Gwen was right about him being set up.

Soon after, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) called to reveal that they’d put an APB out on Clyde now that they knew the surveillance footage had been doctored.

Jack relayed the news to Jennifer, who was upset over Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) killer still being out there.

After Jennifer sent Jack back to the Salem PD, she had a vision of silent Abigail looking all angelic.

Jennifer asked if Abigail came from heaven to let her know she was all right – or if she was a ghost there to visit because her mom missed her so much.

Jennifer eventually decided that Abigail was the answer to her prayers and could listen like she used to.

After Jennifer talked about her pain, she revealed that she was back on pills and didn’t know how else to go on living without Abigail.

When Jennifer looked down, she saw Abigail’s stab wound bleeding. Jennifer tried to hug Abigail, but she quickly disappeared and left her mother distraught.

In lockup, Gwen stopped by to see Leo and revealed that Clyde was the one who framed him.

Leo got updates on Clyde killing Abigail in addition to stabbing Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker), so he thought Clyde was a monster.

After Leo apologized for lying about Gwen’s confession, Gwen apologized for turning him in.

Since Leo wondered if there was anything he could do for Gwen, she asked if he could help her do something about her pill-popping stepmother.

Gwen admitted she didn’t want to judge Jennifer, but Jenn threatened to ruin what little relationship she had left with Jack if she spilled anything.

However, Gwen felt that Jack deserved to know and maybe even help Jennifer.

Leo argued that Gwen had lost her edge and felt ratting Jennifer out would be useless. Bottom line, Jennifer’s pill addiction wasn’t Gwen’s problem – at least that’s how Leo felt about it!

At the Kiriakis mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo) was a mess as she talked to Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) about Clyde being responsible for Abigail’s death and Sonny’s stabbing.

Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) called, but Nancy convinced Bonnie to answer for her and put off the conversation until later.

Nancy was upset over being Clyde’s needy bride, but Bonnie offered a pep talk.

In the cemetery, Clyde said he was going to fix it so EJ would find Belle Brady (Martha Madison) strangled to death.

When Clyde couldn’t find Belle, he ran into Abigail instead.

That led to Abigail asking too many questions and noticing that Clyde was wearing gloves in the middle of June.

Clyde claimed he burned his hands on the stove and needed the gloves to keep lotion on them, but Abigail told him to show him her hands then.

Since Clyde refused, Abigail urged him to come up with a more believable story and went to call the cops.

Clyde followed Abigail into the bedroom and grabbed Abby to stop her, but she warned him not to touch her and ripped her arm away.

Moments later, Clyde saw the steak knife that Leo left behind and felt it was a way out of this mess.

In Clyde’s flashback, he urged Abigail to put the phone down before she regretted it.

Clyde picked up the knife and refused to let Abigail ruin his life like he ruined Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson).

After Clyde confessed to being behind the hit on EJ, he revealed that EJ blabbed to Belle.

Clyde then told Abigail that he was going after Belle to send a message, but he ultimately decided that sisters-in-law were family and would work just as well.

Chad kept pushing Clyde to finish the story and make it fast. After that, Chad warned that he’d be done with Clyde.

Once Clyde resumed his recap of the night of Abigail’s murder, Days fans saw Abigail slap him as she tried to get away.

Clyde eventually plunged the knife and left Abigail on the bed as he took the murder weapon with him.

Back in the present, Chad demanded answers about Sonny, but Clyde said that was just about setting up Leo.

Once Clyde stole Leo’s list, he used the same knife and set the scene to make it look like Leo was responsible.

At city hall, Shawn met up with EJ and Belle.

After Belle insisted that Shawn needed the whole story, he found out Chad got the gun from the safe and went looking for Clyde.

Shawn decided they’d put an APB out on Chad and got some security footage that confirmed Chad led Clyde away at gunpoint.

Next, EJ gave Shawn and Belle the slip while Clyde taunted Chad in the cemetery.

Chad said he’d be satisfied when Clyde was dead, but Clyde smiled and noted that he hadn’t pulled the trigger.

At the police station on Tuesday’s Days episode, Gwen bumped into Jack and realized he’d left Jennifer alone.

Jack could tell Gwen was keeping something from him, so she admitted there was something he needed to know.

Gwen explained how Jennifer was back on prescription drugs and that she threatened to turn him against her if she spilled.

Once Gwen pushed Jack to help Jennifer, he rushed back home and found the empty pill bottle on the floor.

In her car, Jennifer drove with her vision of Abigail bleeding in the passenger seat.

Jennifer vowed to get justice and was speeding toward the police station right as Gwen was exiting.

Gwen’s eyes widened as Jennifer’s headlights approached, so Jenn was clearly about to mow her down.

Back in the cemetery, Clyde went for Chad’s gun and knocked it out of his hand.

After Clyde put Chad in a chokehold on the ground, he said Chad would be with Abigail soon.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out – causing Clyde to roll off Chad with blood dripping from his back. EJ stood there holding the gun after pumping that bullet.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Clyde seems poised to face a grim fate, so stay tuned!
