Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers preview for the week of January 17-21 teases that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will surprise Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) while Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) strips down for Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus). Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) dad will also spill all, so let’s talk about DOOL’s latest promo and what’s in store.
For starters, a big comeback is on the way – though it won’t play out exactly the way fans might’ve imagined.
Days viewers know Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) got in touch with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) over the phone recently. That led to growing concerns about the search for Sarah.
Kristen also decided that since Ava and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) helped her escape, she was going to help them in return.
Of course, Kristen’s plan could actually help her as well since it could throw everyone off the Sarah trail.
While Kristen remains in Italy, there’s a good chance Ava’s going to get a special delivery of masks.
Days spoilers say a familiar face will show up to see Gwen, so that suggests Ava will don the Sarah mask and arrive at Gwen’s door.
It’s possible Gwen will take over wearing the mask at that point and try to fool Xander, but it makes more sense to leave that task to Ava.
After all, Ava has zero guilt and will have no qualms at all about manipulating Xander in this way.
The goal will be for “Sarah” to convince any concerned loved ones that she’s fine.
“Sarah” will want everyone to stop looking for her and accept that she just needed some time to find herself.
While “Sarah” is speaking to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), Xander will arrive at the Kiriakis mansion and get quite a shock.
Xander will reel at the sight of “Sarah” – though the look on Sarah’s face in the promo is a dead giveaway that she’s not the real one.
“Sarah” may quiz Xander about his love life and suggest he should just be happy with his new lucky lady.
“Sarah” might contend that Xander has to truly let her go and leave her alone.
Ava can then report back to Gwen with good news about Xander dropping the Sarah search entirely.
However, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) is going to put several Sarah puzzle pieces together and cause major problems, so it’ll be interesting to see how all that plays out.
Next, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will comfort Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) over losing Johnny and help her work through what she’s feeling for Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
That’ll no doubt involve a conversation about what Paulina accidentally witnessed between Allie and Chanel in the bedroom!
In the meantime, Gabi will enjoy some steamy moments with a shirtless Johnny at the DiMera mansion.
Gabi will play with fire as she tries to get closer to Johnny and use his newly acquired shares to her advantage.
Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will be on board at first, but he’ll battle some worries the deeper Gabi goes with this plot.
Since Johnny is possessed, he’ll take every opportunity he can to cause drama and could perhaps blow up Gabi’s relationship with Jake.
Speaking of blown-up relationships, Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) will get a chance to confront Craig Wesley (Kevin Spiritas) over the affair she assumes he’s having.
Craig and Nancy are Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) parents, so she’ll definitely be invested in the outcome of all this.
Nancy will rant about Craig cheating on her with another woman, but what if it’s actually another man instead?
There have been rumblings that suggest Craig has perhaps realized he’s gay, so it’s possible he’s struggling with his sexuality and has been unable to come clean for many years.
Then again, Craig might have a life-threatening illness or something else that’s caused him to pull away from Nancy in recent months.
Whatever the case, Nancy doesn’t have the full picture and will need to hear Craig’s explanation.
