General Hospital Spoilers reveal Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is going to look at Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) in a new light soon. When BLQ and Austin spoke at the Q mansion on Christmas Day, it was clear that BLQ had already spoken to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and knew what Austin had done that brought his relationship with Maxie to an end.
Brook Lynn seemed quick to dismiss any guilt on Austin’s part — showing that she not only wasn’t angry with him but understood his transgression and assumed he had good intentions the whole time. That might not be a wise assumption on her part, but time will tell.
General Hospital Spoilers — Brook Lynn is Lonely
Of course, when Brook Lynn was sharing with Austin that she understood why he did what he did, she was thinking of herself — as usual. BLQ knows what it’s like to do the wrong thing in the pursuit of getting what she wants.
Austin just wanted to know where things were headed with Maxie, and he attempted to take a shortcut to get him there without cluing her into his plan.
BLQ wanted Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to stick it out with his music career that she thought was a win-win for both of them, never imagining he would still want to be a cop when he could be a famous singer.
Much like Maxie and Austin, BLQ and Chase just want different things.
GH Spoilers Hint Austin Came Through in a Big Way
When Maxie was stranded without a way to get to Oregon on Christmas Day, she phoned BLQ hoping the Quartermaine jet would help her get to Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) and Daminan Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) before the day was up.
The Q jet was ready to take Maxie to Portland, but only from Canada. It would take an act of God to get her into another country that day first, and that’s just what Austin managed to pull off in making one call to his cousin, Mason (Nathanyael Grey).
This made an impact on BLQ, who saw Austin as a guy willing to go out of his way to save Maxie even when she had just dumped him, and he didn’t need credit for it either.
General Hospital Spoilers — Maxie and Chase Appear to Move On
As time passes, it will start to look like Maxie is going to spend some time being single and conveniently focused on family, which by default includes Spinelli.
Austin has had a lingering suspicion for some time now that Spinelli still carries a torch for Maxie, and he will assume it’s only a matter of time before Maxie might reciprocate his feelings.
Likewise, Brook Lynn will watch as Chase starts cozying up to Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), who will need Chase’s knight in shining armor status soon as Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Borroughs) potentially drains her bank account.
With their exes both moving on in other directions, BLQ and Austin just might find themselves a member of the lonely hearts club and coming to rely on one another for friendship.
