General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) may have a divorce lawyer meeting coming up, so this big step could break Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) heart. GH fans know Carly has been pushing for some time apart, but Sonny’s been pushing just as hard to make a reunion happen ASAP.
Of course, there’s a risk in doing that since Sonny could easily push Carly further away.
In the February 2 episode, Sonny ultimately told Carly he’d be waiting for her – though he had to question if she’d ever really be ready.
Sonny has his doubts about whether a real reunion will actually happen if Carly isn’t ready now.
Unfortunately, it looks like Sonny’s penchant for grand gestures could become a problem again.
Carly tried to make Sonny understand that although the idea of reliving their wedding in Martinique was special and wonderful, it won’t fix what’s broken.
The problem is Sonny doesn’t know any other way to fix his fractured marriage – and Carly doesn’t seem to know either.
That may be why Carly will arrange a meeting on February 11 that could influence her future.
Since Sonny has Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) on retainer, it’d be a conflict of interest for her to represent Carly in divorce proceedings.
Instead, Carly may call another attorney to talk about her options and what the details of her potential divorce might look like.
During the week of February 14-18, Carly will mull over where things stand and try to figure out her next move.
It certainly sounds like Carly will seriously consider divorce.
Carly may take Sonny’s words to heart and wonder if he’s right about her never being ready to move forward.
Maybe Carly will ask herself if time and space will really accomplish anything.
Carly may think she’s too stuck on what happened between Sonny and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to truly move beyond the pain.
Although Carly’s feelings could change as this storyline moves along, Sonny will be heartbroken if he learns his wife’s considering this big divorce step.
It could be enough to send Sonny into Nina’s arms for comfort!
