General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will have a tempting new offer for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to mull over. Cyrus will raise the stakes with a risky deal, so let’s talk about Spencer’s tough decision behind bars.
Spencer has people looking out for him thanks to Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but they can’t be around all the time.
Besides, that protection actually makes Spencer more of a target in some ways.
Spencer looks like a coddled little rich boy, so his enemies have resorted to psychological warfare to mess with him.
Of course, there are other inmates like “Book” who aren’t afraid to resort to violence, so Cyrus has already offered to help Spencer out with people like that.
However, Spencer is reluctant to have anything to do with Cyrus considering the guy’s twisted history and how he’s hurt people like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as well as Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
The problem is Spencer’s Pentonville stint could get even more dangerous as time goes on.
What happens if “Book” attacks again and perhaps brings some friends this time?
Spencer could use someone like Cyrus watching out for him. Cyrus might even be able to shut down the everyday nonviolent attempts to mess with Spencer with the right incentive.
If there’s a way to make Spencer’s prison stay more bearable, he could be tempted to take Cyrus up on it.
Cyrus tried to act like there was no catch and assured Spencer there was no secret agenda.
Spencer had his doubts about that and may soon learn exactly what Cyrus has in mind.
During the week of October 17-21, Cyrus will approach Spencer with an enticing new offer, so Spencer will seriously consider it.
That could be as simple as giving Laura a message or just opening his mind when it comes to the idea of bonding as family members.
After all, Cyrus is really no worse than Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) in terms of what they’re capable of and the horror they’ve inflicted.
Maybe Spencer could start to see that and form a genuine connection with Cyrus.
Whatever the case, it’s dangerous for Spencer to get in too deep with his great-uncle.
