General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may arrest Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) after a scheme goes wrong. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) could deal with a mutual mess, so let’s discuss what’s ahead.
Dex managed to avoid landing in police custody when he convinced Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to delete the incriminating video.
However, Dex may not be so lucky the next time he ends up facing potential charges.
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) pushed Sonny to make sure Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was acquitted, so he immediately called Dex.
That led to Dex threatening the jury foreman into ensuring Trina doesn’t go to prison.
Dex is too green to be tackling a challenge like this, especially since he’s so eager to prove himself to Sonny.
Michael wants his secret hire to become part of Sonny’s inner circle, so Dex is pushing for that to happen too fast.
As Brick (Stephen A. Smith) pointed out, Dex is reckless and overconfident.
Unfortunately, Dex can’t even be sure he got through to the jury foreman since he scampered off after Josslyn showed up.
Based on spoilers for the week of August 8-12, the situation will still look rather dire for Trina.
The info doesn’t make it seem like Trina’s “not guilty” verdict will be locked in as a sure thing.
That makes considering Sonny’s fix wouldn’t be very suspenseful or bring an exciting conclusion to this storyline.
The best thing that can happen from a drama standpoint is for Dex’s latest move to backfire.
Josslyn already witnessed Dex’s attempt to alter the outcome of this trial.
Although Josslyn surely wouldn’t spill and jeopardize Trina’s freedom, it just goes to show that Dex is far from careful and tends to get caught in tight spots.
Another one of those tight spots could be coming up for Dex since Dante will make an unexpected arrest.
Dex could wind up being the one who gets the cuffs slapped on in the August 12 episode.
Maybe Dex will make another move to sway the jury foreman and get busted by the cops.
Dante is at the center of Sonny and Michael’s feud since he’d like to see his father and brother make peace.
Now GH writers may have Dante arrest Dex and unknowingly get caught in that feud another way.
At that point, Sonny may fear Dex is too much of a newbie to take Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) place.
Dex clearly needs more experience before he can reach that level.
This could cause problems for Michael since Sonny’s faith in Dex may be shaken.
There’s also the matter of Dex’s possible legal woes, which could lead to more demands.
Dex already wants to renegotiate his deal with Michael and may have even more of a reason to want that soon.
Perhaps Dex could push Michael to make the charges go away or else he’ll rat him out to Sonny and blow his chance at payback.
Whatever the case, Dante’s going to take someone surprising into police custody right as this Dex chaos is heating up, so Sonny and Michael could both face a crisis.
