General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins (Carolyn Hennesy) will take over as Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) new attorney, so we’ll see a last-minute defense change and a chance for Trina to spill her cemetery alibi.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) is currently serving as Trina’s lawyer, and he can be a real shark when he wants to be.
However, Diane is the best of the best when it comes to legal representation in Port Charles.
Scott is coming off a big loss in Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) visitation battle and seems awfully scattered on any given day anyway.
With Diane willing and available, Trina perhaps stands a better chance of winning with her on the case.
Of course, there may be some other reasons for this abrupt change in Trina’s legal strategy, but the point is it’s happening the morning of the trial.
Diane will take over as Trina’s new attorney during the week of July 11-15, so she’ll wonder if there’s anything else she needs to know.
Perhaps Diane will remind Trina that this is her final opportunity to share anything that might be useful to her strategy in court.
Trina will wrestle with a tough decision and will end up spilling to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that she has a complicated alibi.
GH fans will recall that Trina was with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) in the cemetery when the scandalous video went public.
It would bolster Trina’s case if she revealed that information and let it come out in court.
Unfortunately, it could also create more legal drama for Spencer, who wasn’t supposed to be taking that field trip from Spring Ridge.
Considering how Spencer has treated Trina lately, Josslyn won’t care all that much about any consequences he might face.
Instead, Joss will be all about Trina and what might get her off the hook.
Maybe Josslyn will point out that if Spencer were a real friend, he’d already be pushing Trina to use this information to her advantage.
Whatever the case, Trina will mull over whether she should rat Spencer out to save herself – and that definitely won’t be an easy choice.
