General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) may search for Josiah the cult leader and unleash a new Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) on Port Charles. Could Josiah hold the key to Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) past?
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) spoke with Denise McKenzie (Alex Rietveld) before her meeting with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and made sure Denise would say what she was told to.
Unfortunately, Denise may have made a crucial mistake during her chat with Drew.
Since Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) previously spread the word about a woman named Joan being Willow’s birth mother, Denise backed up that story and ultimately revealed that Joan was dead.
However, Denise couldn’t confirm anything about Willow’s birth father or any other relatives she might’ve had – though she didn’t think Joan had siblings.
It seems like perhaps Carly was so fixated on the birth mom angle that she forgot there are other paths to the truth.
Denise pointed out that Josiah was the only one close to Joan on the commune, which we can go ahead and call a cult since that’s clearly what it was!
Friends of Peace and Love sounds all kinds of shady, especially since we know about stolen Willow and this “prophet” Josiah claiming it was divine will for Harmony and her husband to raise her.
The fact that Denise mentioned Josiah and Joan’s connection could be significant.
Drew may latch onto that and determine that Josiah could have answers about Willow’s bio dad or any other living relatives who might still be out there.
Of course, Drew might even suspect Josiah himself could’ve been the birth father.
We know that Drew will work on a new theory during the week of December 19-23, so it’ll be interesting to see if Josiah fits in that theory somewhere.
It might be risky to track Josiah down, particularly if he comes to PC.
Josiah might be obsessed with Willow on some level or interested in starting up a new version of his commune.
Nevertheless, we’d like to believe GH writers know better than to bring back another cult story since the last one was so unpopular.
That said, Josiah could still be a wildcard character who brings some twists and turns.
Will Josiah be the one to blow up all Carly’s lies?
Will Josiah share the shocking truth and eventually lead Drew down a trail that ends with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)?
