General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, August 19 Recap – Dante Blames Himself for Lulu’s Coma – Troublemaker Mason Meets Maxie

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, August 19, reveals that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) blamed himself for Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) coma while troublemaker Mason (Nathanyael Grey) met Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

Outside Kelly’s, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) sought updates on her daughters’ lives, so Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth), Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) filled her in.

After Sam admitted Dante asked her to move in with him, she argued that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Molly and Kristina felt living together would be a good thing, but Alexis tried to get to the heart of the problem and realized it was Lulu.

Sam struggled with the idea of living where Lulu lived and seeing all her old furniture.

Lulu was very much still a presence in Dante’s house, but Alexis suggested Dante might’ve made it that way for Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Francis Carr) sake. After Sam got a pep talk, she headed on her way.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) wrapped up a call and finalized details for the first annual Quartermaine picnic, which was happening tomorrow to raise money for the children’s wing of GH.

After Olivia brought up Sam, Dante confessed that he might’ve messed up with her and explained the move-in offer.

Since Sam thought Dante needed to work through his feelings for Lulu, Olivia wondered if that was true.

Dante acknowledged that part of him felt he should’ve been able to save Lulu from her coma, but Olivia put the blame on Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) with an assist from Julian Jerome (William deVry).

Once Olivia pushed Dante to focus on how he felt about Sam, he said he loved her and wanted to make Sam as happy as she’d made him.

Sam suddenly walked in, so Dante asked her to the picnic and reassured her about taking their relationship at her pace.

At the stables, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) thought back to Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) interest in her father and felt he’d been secretive since Cesar Faison (Anderson) had dirty dealings with Leopold Taub (Charles Lucia).

Cody pointed out he hadn’t known Leopold was his father for long – and when he found out Britt’s father was Faison, his first instinct was to run in the opposite direction.

Britt’s kindness in the alley after Cody was beaten changed his mind. Plus, Cody liked Britt’s perfume, crooked smile and other small things about her.

Cody eventually convinced Britt to attend the picnic with him and got her to shake hands on it. Britt seemed like she was warming up to Cody as she walked away.

At the Metro Court pool, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) said his interest in Britt was already fading and hinted about some other luminous creature he admired from afar – clearly meaning Maxie based on how he looked at her.

Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) returned after a speedy trip to Pautuck and embraced Maxie, but Mason appeared soon after and encouraged his cousin to introduce him to his friends.

Austin wasn’t happy about Mason’s arrival and felt they’d said all they needed to say to each other, but Mason planned to stick around and see more of Port Charles.

Maxie invited Mason to the picnic tomorrow – and in a moment alone with Austin, Mason refused to back down on attending it.

Nearby, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) filled Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) in on exchanging love declarations with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).

Since Finn indeed loved Liz, he had to get to the bottom of her issues and how her parents fit in.

At the hospital, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) insisted on helping Liz with her injured hand, so he bandaged it and ordered an x-ray.

TJ quizzed Liz about what happened, but she downplayed it and refused to let him call Finn to drive her home.

Soon after, Liz gazed at the door marked “stairs” and ultimately opened it. Once Liz was near the edge of those stairs, she seemed to lose consciousness and fell forward. Suddenly, Liz snapped back to reality and was back near the desk with TJ, not in the stairwell.

Once Finn showed up, he grew concerned about Elizabeth’s hand. Liz claimed she was angry over all the time Finn wasted worrying about her and that’s why she smashed the glass tube.

Finn could understand pent-up anger, but he didn’t get what was so wrong about mentioning her parents.

After Finn questioned if maybe there was something in Liz’s past that she couldn’t remember, she urged him to stick to his area of expertise.

Once Liz headed off to catch a ride-share, Finn called Dr. Webber’s number and left a message for her about someone they had in common.

Outside Kelly’s, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) appeared with Gregory, so the two of them joined Alexis, Molly and Kristina for lunch.

Thanks to Violet and her cute comments, Alexis and Gregory ended up smiling as they connected with each other.

General Hospital spoilers say Gregory and Alexis’ love story is just getting started, but it looks promising so far!
