General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) may wake up longing for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), so her return could derail his future with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Let’s talk about some hints the show offered and get ready for the new chapter ahead.
On the August 9 episode, Sam and Dante finally had a deep conversation about Lulu. It was a long time coming and felt like it had some significance.
Lulu’s name is suddenly being mentioned more, especially now that Dante and Sam are getting serious about their future.
Dante assured Sam there’s no rush on moving in together, but he also wanted her to understand that Lulu was part of his past.
Although Dante confessed to missing Lulu, he pointed out they were already over as a couple when she fell into a coma.
Dante focused on how Lulu had moved on and tried to convince Sam that he’d moved on, too.
The problem is Lulu hadn’t really moved on at all! Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) wasn’t the man Lulu truly wanted – and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) knows this due to Lulu’s pre-coma confession.
Lulu wasn’t over Dante and will no doubt want him back once she awakens.
That discussion between Sam and Dante seemed like a clear steppingstone on the path to Lulu’s wakeup call.
Of course, it may not happen right away, particularly since Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is out of town.
Lulu’s mother needs to be around when she emerges from that coma and rejoins society at last.
It’d be smart to let Dante and Sam’s relationship move forward a bit more anyway.
Sam seems to have lingering feelings for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) based on the longing look she gave recently, but she may shove those feelings down for a while.
Perhaps the show is preparing for Sam’s reunion with Drew while preparing a reunion between Dante and Lulu as well.
It may take some time to get there, but the pieces are all falling into place.
Will Dante change his mind once Lulu wakes up and reveals what’s in her heart? Dante and Lulu may once again become the couple to root for!
Whether Emme Rylan returns or a recast takes over, the writing’s on the wall for Lulu Spencer to come back – hopefully sooner rather than later.
