General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may land in Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) bed after Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) secret exposure changes everything.
GH fans know Mason (Nathanyael Grey) has been dishing out some menacing threats, but Austin has been trying to give as good as he gets! It’s clear that Austin doesn’t want his past in Pautuck to spill over into his present life in Port Charles, especially when it comes to Maxie and the people she cares about.
Austin wants to preserve his shot at a future with Maxie, but he’s setting himself up for failure by hiding things. Maxie dealt with far too many secrets when she was saddled with lying Peter August (Wes Ramsey), so she’s not going to like it when the truth is revealed.
In the meantime, Maxie will keep trying to convince Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) that Austin is actually a good guy. Georgie won’t have positive vibes about Austin at all and will make her disdain for him crystal clear, so Maxie will be fighting an uphill battle.
However, Georgie’s instincts may prove to be accurate in some ways. Maxie will eventually realize that once she finds out the info Austin has been withholding from her.
Of course, the problem may be less about Austin’s secret itself and more about the fact that he was lying. Maxie wants to be with someone open and honest – someone she can trust and rely on.
When Austin proves he’s not the person she thought he was, Maxie will need someone else to lean on. Spinelli will inevitably be the one Maxie turns to, so this could lead to her reciprocating his romantic feelings.
Austin may inadvertently push Maxie into Spinelli’s arms and ultimately his bed. It looks like Spinelli and Maxie could be the couple that GH writers go with for a while, so Austin may be out of luck!
