General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, December 5 Recap – Drew Finds Commune Member – Carly Plots Against Interview

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, December 5, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) found a firefighter commune member, so Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) plotted against his interview for info related to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).

At home, Willow fought Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) when it came to telling their loved ones the truth about her leukemia diagnosis.

Willow wanted to do this on her own terms and in her own way.

As for Michael’s battle with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Willow expressed concern over what all the anger was doing to him.

Michael understood that his family with Willow was most important and stepped out to take care of something.

At Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) apartment, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) hid in the other room while a suspicious Sonny came in and questioned Dex.

When Dex refused to divulge who helped him after he got shot, Josslyn revealed herself and confessed was her.

Josslyn had her usual attitude with Sonny and noted that Dex hadn’t divulged anything about the job he was doing.

Once Josslyn left, Sonny ripped into Dex for turning to his stepdaughter for help, but Dex explained how Joss found him when he was out of it.

Dex also came clean about Josslyn taking him back to her dorm, so Sonny was livid.

Although Dex had tried to keep Josslyn away, Sonny warned him to try harder.

Sonny mentioned that a potential business deal was in the works that’d mean more responsibilities for Dex, who insisted he was up for it.

Once Sonny said that had better be true, he argued there was no more room for mistakes.

Later, Michael brought Dex an envelope with his payment and a bonus.

Although Michael wanted to call off the job and send Dex packing, Dex pointed out there was something big and illegal in the works that could take Sonny down.

At GH, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) overheard Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) talking to Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) about throwing herself an epic birthday party.

Britt made it clear that Cody wasn’t welcome and felt a gambler like him should know when to cut his losses.

In private, Austin found out Britt was thinking of having her birthday bash on The Haunted Star.

Since Britt didn’t know how many birthdays she’d have left or be able to properly celebrate, she wanted to go out with a bang.

Britt also planned to leave town right after the party, but Austin thought it was selfish of Britt to rob her family of precious time with her.

That gave Britt something to think about, but she cracked some jokes with Austin about letting Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) pick his wardrobe for the shindig.

At the Metro Court, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) approached Mac Scorpio (John J. York), Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to fish for info related to Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).

Mac insisted Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was going down and warned Valentin not to be too close when it happened.

Once Mac stepped away, Valentin questioned Felicia and Laura without him.

That led to Valentin’s realization that Victor had been holding Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) hostage to control Holly.

Felicia hinted that everything wasn’t as it seemed and urged Valentin to speak with Robert.

After Laura left, Felicia admitted Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was alive and being held captive after getting shot with a rubber bullet.

Since Valentin felt Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) should know the truth, Felicia wrote down the name of someone who could potentially get a message to her in hiding.

Valentin seemed taken aback over that name before he tore up the paper and put it in a nearby Champagne glass.

When Mac met up with Cody at the bar, he informed him that the necklace had been destroyed in a fire.

Cody seemed glum over losing something that would make him worthwhile, but Mac argued that money wasn’t everything.

Since Mac was kind and supportive, Cody suggested that the DNA result had been his loss. Mac assured Cody he shared in that loss before exiting with Felicia.

Valentin also headed for the elevator and exchanged a look with Sonny as he left.

When Olivia Scorpio (Lisa LoCicero) found Robert in his office, she acted like Holly didn’t deserve his loyalty. However, Olivia also felt there must be more than greed motivating Holly under the circumstances.

In the end, Olivia assured Robert that she’d lend an ear if he ever needed one.

Soon after, Laura arrived looking for answers about Holly, so Robert showed her the necklace and revealed Holly’s ruse to wiggle out of Victor’s grasp.

After Robert hinted about the secrets that must be hidden in the Ice Princess diamonds, Laura insisted it was time to stop Victor once and for all.

At Carly’s place, she got updates on Drew’s lead, which involved a firefighter named Denise McKenzie who had belonged to the same commune as Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel).

Denise was flying in so Drew could interview her, but Carly warned him not to tell Willow since she fainted earlier and didn’t need any more excitement.

Drew didn’t want to get Willow’s hopes up, but he did plan to keep her in the loop after talking with Denise.

Although Drew wanted to speak with Denise on his own, he assured Carly that she’d be his second call after Willow once the interview was over.

Josslyn eventually interrupted a make-out session between Drew and Carly that made her think of her own kiss with Dex earlier.

Once Carly was alone, she called Olivia and sought a favor – no questions asked. As soon as Denise McKenzie checked in the Metro Court, Carly wanted to know about it.

As for Drew, he stopped by the gatehouse and confirmed that Willow was still fully on board with searching for her birth parents.

General Hospital spoilers say Carly will do her best to complicate the bio family hunt, so stay tuned for more drama.
