General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, October 31, reveals that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) had been in contact with a rare rainforest bacteria – and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) unleashed her abandonment rage on Jeff Webber (William Moses) and Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby).
In Monterey, Liz admitted she was hoping to be gone before her mom and dad got back. Jeff and Carolyn talked about keeping up with Liz’s boys on social media. They also saw that Liz was dating a doctor, so Jeff suggested maybe they didn’t set such a bad example after all.
Elizabeth argued that everything she’d accomplished had been due to her own drive and was certainly no thanks to her parents. After Liz rattled over a list of all the good and bad things they’d missed in her life, Jeff and Carolyn tried to defend their actions.
However, Liz ranted about being left with neighbors who were strangers and then being raised by her grandmother. Although Carolyn and Jeff said they were trying to give Elizabeth the home they couldn’t provide, Liz fired back that they were her home.
The fact that Jeff and Carolyn chose Doctors Without Borders over raising their own children was clearly devastating to Liz. Elizabeth almost left without getting the missing memory info she came for, but she ultimately decided to stay and demand answers.
Back in Port Charles, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) realized Heather Webber was at GH and warned Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about her. Finn introduced himself to Heather, who recognized him as the guy Liz started dating five minutes after Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was cold.
After Finn looked at Heather’s chart, he determined she’d been in contact with a type of bacteria that was usually only found in the rainforest. Since it feeds on its own skin, Heather realized it could literally eat her alive.
It left Finn wondering who Heather had been interacting with, but she kept riling him up with comments about Liz and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
In the end, Finn acted like he was giving Heather the cure, but it turned out to be a sedative. Heather seemingly passed out, but she later lifted her head and looked at the nurse – like she was plotting her escape.
After Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) brought Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) some coffee and food, she revealed her second night in Port Charles was much better than her first. Holly was resting up and refused to back down when it came to Victor.
Robert warned Holly not to go poking the bear since he didn’t want to lose her again. At one point, Holly seemed lost in thought, so Robert asked if she was remembering something.
Nevertheless, Holly assured Robert that when she remembered something, she’d tell him – though he seemed skeptical about that.
Later, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) filled Robert in on her run-in with Heather. Victor also gloated about Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick) absence speaking volumes since he wasn’t at the courthouse to support Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
In Switzerland, Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) showed Valentin the chapel and was thrilled that he watched her compete in the equestrian event earlier. Valentin was having a nice visit with Charlotte until Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) called with the news of Anna’s arrest.
That left Valentin determined to get back to Anna, so he sent Charlotte for her backpack and acted like they were going sightseeing. Valentin tried to bribe the guard into letting him take Charlotte alone, but the guy rejected the money.
After Valentin threw a punch, the guard fought back and got the upper hand. Suddenly, Laura appeared dressed as a nun and knocked the guard out from behind.
Back in Port Charles, Anna was deemed a flight risk since she had too many connections and resources. The judge denied Anna’s bail, so Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) had to take her back to her cell.
